I have had one of my worst days at work today and I just want to say that your vlogs (all the incredible VE girls, but especially you, Tina, as the original poster and VE mastermind) are such a ray of sunshine in my week and a huge highlight for me. I currently live in stunning New Zealand but have been so consistently homesick for the UK for the last few years, and your and Emily’s vlogs have been one of my lifelines each week. I thought you should know that. It made my heart sad recently to know that some video dislikes had upset you a lot, and so I feel the need to share here that I may just “ like” your videos, and comment occasionally on how much I enjoy them, but actually they really do provide an immeasurable amount of comfort both for an expat missing the UK and also for a horsewoman hoping that I too will find equestrian friendships as supportive as yours in the future. Yourself and Emily are huge inspirations to me, and your vlogs make me feel so much less homesick. I just felt it important that you know how valued your hard work in creating your content is, by those who follow you and Ems. You wonderful ladies absolutely rock, and your genuine supportiveness of each other is where our sport needs to be going. Thank you for everything you share with us, keep being you xoxo

I’m so sorry to hear you have had a bad day 😢 and that you are so homesick. Made me smile to hear how much you enjoy the vlogs, your kind words are massively appreciated and really do motivate and incentivise me to keep at it. So thank you 🙏 really does mean a lot that you enjoy them so much and that you have taken the time to tell me xx

Just started riding again after a several year hiatus and have only dabbled in dressage. So I am feeling the same nerves of not feeling good enough to be in a clinic. But I am determined to go into it and just try to soak up as much information as I can and to feel better connected to my pony! Keep up the great work!!!

@@LifeontheLeftRein I know. It's wonderful. Which dressage saddles do you and Em use? Is there a difference between a normal dressage saddle and mono saddle? Loved the dressage lesson. I really love being able to hear the instructor while watching others ride. It’s so great for learning. I linked a video below that really shows a great wat to position the horse at the poll or in other words, flexion at the poll. I noticed that your horse has quite a hard side Like you had also pointed out in the video And sometimes adjusting the way we use our skeleton/body to actually apply the aid, can make a difference with the horse. A lot of people will ask for positioning/flexion and sometimes adjusting the way we use our skeleton/body to actually apply the aid, can make a difference with the horse. A lot of people will ask for positioning/flexion at the poll by using an opening rein, or a slight opening and pulling back with the hand/rein, or caulking the wrist and knuckles in toward the rider and even lifting the rein upward. Some of these have a slight pulling backward motion or direction on the rein and any pulling back on the reins, blocks the hind leg on that side The rider is pulling backwards on. Even if it’s not a great distance of pulling back it’s still is going to lock the hind leg and even stop the horse from wanting to reach that hind leg under further. In the video below the address is Ryd even if it’s not a great distance of pulling back it still is going to lock the hind leg and even stop the horse from wanting to reach that hind leg under further. In the video below the dressage Rider Catherine Haddad shows the action of the rein with her hands that she uses to position in the Horse at the poll or ask for flexion at the poll. It’s so simple and it also allows you to continue to have an elastic elbow or to squeeze the fingers and doesn’t call on the horse in the mouth as much as some other styles of asking for flexion. You can also use this action of the wrist to have flexion and bend and still have the freedom in your arms and all the way up to your shoulders and back. m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/lWPKgauGqs54rtU
@kmiklaszewski4 жыл бұрын
The place in the video link above where Catherine is talking about flexion and shows you the action of the hand is just about @10:00 min as she is coming across the diagonal.

You both looked super & had your horses travelling in a lovely frame. You must have been good enough to have the basics in place (and in Dressage the basics are some of the toughest things to get right) because no instructor, no matter how talented, could have you looking so good in just one lesson! So you're not only good enough, you're really good! Life on the outside rein, eh?

Spooky Banksy... Having Dressage lessons (or any lessons) is beneficial... As you've both said, it helps highlight your strengths and weaknesses in each of the disciplines... Just putting an idea out there... Have you ever thought about doing the disciplines on different horses? You don't have to do it as a real lesson, but maybe a bit of fun to see how a different horse goes? I don't know what Emily would think of it? But, if you did, you have 3 horses to ride... 🙂🐎

Thank you so much for responding. I didn’t mean to be a complainer, but I came back from riding in a clinic yesterday, had a cocktail ready and was thrilled to see you had a posted vid for me to chill out and watch. If I hadn’t had a cocktail in me, I probably wouldn’t have commented at all. It’s not like me to post anything at all for the most part. I think something has changed with the way KZbin does it’s ads. They have been extremely annoying. It’s too bad that you can’t decide where to put the ad so it doesn’t completely disrupt a thought. I have unsubscribed from several channels that I have been following since their infancy, Because now it seems all they talk about are their sponsored products and the videos are littered with ads. I’m happy for their success, but that’s not how I want to spend my relaxing time. You and Em are always highly entertaining and I know it’s not about the ads for you. Again, sorry to be a complainer. I was going to go back and delete it when I remembered I posted this morning.

MCRC Equestrian aka Moon Chasers Riding Center no please don’t delete, I don’t mind at all. I’d rather know if people find them too annoying I do think youtube has changed how it puts them in. I delete too many as they automatically add loads but the trouble is I upload from my phone but cant edit/delete ads from my phone so have to sign into laptop for that. So depends if I have time/remember. I’m intrigued as to what cocktail you had now though 🍸🍹
