Looks wonderful! $6,750 is a very good price. I bought my i4 M50 last year and still haven't done the PPF. Probably this year. The price is still steep though.

Thanks! If you’re keeping the car long term might be worth it! My Tesla has PPF and someone swiped bumper in a parking lot. I just came home, boiled some water and got a cloth damp and I rubbed out the marks lol … self healed

I got full xpel on my M3 2023 as well. 7500ish. Worth it in my opinion. Don’t have to worry about a shitty car wash with the self healing. Very easy to do rinseless washes. I also did the same 35% sides and rear with xpel black tint too. Perfect tint level

I can't justify getting PPF on my vehicles when I only keep them 2-3 years. It does not increase the resale value.

Yeah if you're only keeping your vehicles for 3 years then I don't suggest you get PPF brotha. I keep my cars for a very long time usually

my full xpel ppf and ceramic coating for F90 LCI was 6500, ceramic tints was 350 or 450. PPF/ceramic coating got a deal from a friend tho..

should i get my m3 fully ceramic coated or fully ppf if i could only pick one. also which is cheaper and better

They both serve different purposes. The PPF will protect your car from rock chips and scratches which I think is the most important. The ceramic coating will repel a lot of water and make it easier to keep the car clean. I would recommend you go with PPF if you had to choose just one. (PPF is much more expensive because of what it does for the car and how labor intensive it is to apply)

That my friend is like mastering an art form 😂😂 It’s actually pretty difficult because you have to avoid hitting your knees on the Alcantara steering wheel and you also do not want to scuff the side bolsters of the carbon buckets 😭😭

Random question: I noticed that your car seems to run iDrive 8 but the LCI model was said to run 8.5, which the regular 4 series LCI definitely does. Could you check, if it really still runs iDrive 8? Would be a bummer if they cleared out old head units in the M4s. My M4 LCI is bound to arrive 5 weeks from now and I´m really curious, which version of the hard-/software I will get.

It's iDrive 8.5. The M cars get the same UI skin as the pre-LCI iDrive 8 models so it looks basically the same. Although it should run more smoothly vs iD8.

@@Barney584 the M4 CS has the same basic iDrive 8 look as the new M4 does (horizontal tiles, same gauges, etc) but they did curiously add the short cut bar where the climate menu is at the bottom of the screen). It's still not the same look as in say the 2025 M440i LCI. No idea why they have to have so many skins to these iD8/iD8.5 UI's. Odd.

It’s amazing I’d def recommend going 55% … any darker will impact visibility negatively and any lighter… well you barely have a tint then haha I have 70% in the Tesla. 55% is def the way to go

tuxmat, only way to go. I bought the M performance ones, they won't last and don't cover as much of the carpet as they should. And weathertech is cheap amd looks cheap. I'm telling you tuxmat is amazing, covers the most and looks expensive. I have them inmy G80.

Full PPF is a bit overkill IMO. I paid $1300 for the full front, mirrors and door handles. Unfortunately it won’t do anything for the resell value. It’s more for an ease of mind

I have full frontal on my Tesla and it has worked fine over the past two years. However the M4 is just so wide bro… within 200 miles I got a rock chip on my drivers side door which was crazy to me. Don’t even know how the rock hit it lol but when I drive I’m constantly hearing rocks on this car. My mind is def at ease after the full ppf … I’d def recommend anyone with very wide/flared cars to get full ppf. I initially only wanted to do full frontal but that door rock chip changed my mind

Carbon fibre fake vent trim lol. Doesnt get any more gimmicky than that. Non functional + adding carbon where there are no performance gains / weight savings. Fail.

Haha appreciate the input … but there is no fake carbon fiber on the car it is all OEM from factory and spec’d with the carbon package
