Kinda strange the host didn't instruct you. If I were the host, I may have told you that the only clothing you need during night sleep is longsleave woollen under wear and thick wollen socks. Under such conditions you lose a lot of body temp from your head. So. Longsleave wollen underwear, socks and a pullover/neck (I don't know what's called). The body heat the pullover/neck will save you, compensate for layers of clothing. If you have seen old movies from a time when the buildnings were heated by stoves and they're up in the midle of the night carrying a candle, dressed in a white wide night dress and a long night hat. The hat serve the same purpose which is to conserve your body temp. You may concider till next time. Soon you'll challenge to cross the North Pole. You'll be an arctic explorer hehe.

Thank you very much! Great comment! Pined 📍 The host actually explained it.. that was me who had sort of psychosomatic fear that I’ll get cold 😁 it was my first time sleeping on an ice bed 🙂 Absolutely! I would love to cross the North Pole 🙌🏻 have you ever been? Any advice/ recommendations? 😉

@@AnnaGoldmanTravel First of all. My bad. Something missed out in my OP. Correction as follow. *I may have told you that the only clothing you need during night sleep is longsleave woollen under wear, thick wollen socks and a pullover/neck. Oh ya. I am very aware the psychosomatic fear we face when we try something for the first time even we're told how to. I know MMA black belts that fail to crush a piece of wood bcoz they don't trust their power. Instead they take a half step away from the target. When they hit the target the half step is the reason the punch loose the power. In real the target is just behind the surface of the wood. That is where the hitting point is. They looked away from the instruction. Advice/recommendations for polar expeditions? No, regrettably, I don't. Nowhere near. Just regular off-piste crosscountry skiing.

I appreciate that he explains why the snowshoes. Like me who has always lived in the tropical would never understand. But, I do understand that you can disappear into the deep snow XD

Great vlog as always! It is the first time I have seen a russian putting on that many layers of clothes before bed… -5 must be like russian sauna. You have to try two more things from Norway. «Joika» is meatballs made from Rudolf, but with a twist… Then you have to take a table spoon of Tran (Cod liver oil) I have taken a spoonfull before breakfast for the past 25 yrs. What I love about you is that you are always very positive, smile to all. Very interested in other people and What they are doing. Have you seen the Norwegian movie « Flåklypa Grand Prix»? You will love it! Norwegians in a nutshell. The English title Is «Pinchcliff Grand Prix» I think. Enjoy!

That was awesome, I only have one question for the whole experience and that is if they have different sizes for the sleeping bags for tall people? Other than that no questions, that's an superb video, waiting for the northern lights hunt vid!

Thank you so very much! Great question ☺️ when you book the whole experience, before you proceed with payment you will confirm the size of your clothes and shoes 😉 You’ll be asked to provide your normal size, but outdoor shoes for snowshoeing as well as your sleeping bad will be slightly bigger 🙂 Hope this helps 🙌🏻

Hi! Just a small question. I’m going to visit Tromsø in January and I considering to do a tour to these ice domes including the dog sledding. Is it worth it and how long is the dog trip? Thanks!
