Yeah, I'd agree with you. I like how it looks where it's matte. I don't like that the matte isn't 100% full coverage. If I were going to do that, I would want those pieces to be cut in such a way that you had to remove the trim, wrap the edges of the film around, and then re-install. Thanks for taking one for the team on this. Hope your video eventually earns you your money back lol

Couple of us PNW GR guys have taken the center area off and wrapped it in matte forged carbon fiber. Wish I could post a picture here to show you as I love looking at it rather than the gloss black!

I've seen a few scattered pictures online using forged carbon and regular carbon and it does look good. I need to check a local shop and see what they'd charge for the service.

I already knew what you were gonna say as soon as that first strip went on. I did a film like this once (ironically I was covering exterior chrome belt line trim with a piano black film). Tore it off, I think it only cost about $30 though. But I replaced it with factory OEM piano black pieces that cost like $600....

Search "hydro dipping interior car parts". It's a process, but can give awesome results, carbon fiber look or similar.

If I am thinking the same, thats the process I have seen where they dip parts in a water solution, with the some design/overlay floating on top? If so, i've see some really cool parts made from that process.

We be doin protective films at the dealer on cars, when I installed it , it came out mint but i spent a good hour doing it😂 , might remove it too tho and probably do purple vinyl after all tho , wasnt feeling the matte

For me personally I hate the scratches and dirt on the piano black so much I prefer the look of a sticker. Idk why piano black is ever an option, nobody likes it because it scratches so easily and dust so so visible.

Piano black needs to be removed from all parts bins and suppliers!

Maybe plasti dip the parts? but you'll need to take the pieces out to properly plasti dip it?

Remove the panels and wrap it in the same forged carbon pattern as the roof of the circuit edition?

Thats really what has to happen to make it look the part. I wouldn't do forged, but a matte carbon is probably where I may gp.

How long did it take to move from customs? My package has been stuck there since Monday

It didn't take too long in customs, but it was held for a day or so. However, I've had some parts I've ordered for this car arrive through customs fast and others like my down pipe where held up for weeks.
