And that’s a clip worth to listen and watch more than once, this technique will change your outings with any fly rod you already own in any waters you would cast a fly in front of a fish. Thank you for sharing 👍👍

Thanks for clearing that up. I had heard of spey casting but i thought it was just some reason to sell me more equipment. Now I know it has a useful function and I can do it with the rods I have. Cool!

Thank you for another great video. Spey casting is something I'd like to try eventually. I'm still a beginner though.

Learning single hand Spey casting years ago opened up new and effective ways of fishing the local waters, particularly the heavy wooded banks that were once avoided.

I have done these casts for decades and I didn't know it was actually developed. Just figured them out fishing... practice them. They save me flies for sure.

What I've noticed is the ease with which Simon changed from casting right handed (single spay/snat...) to left handed (double spey / snake roll). I'm right handed and I'm casting with my left hand but not as smooth. Simply WOW.

I think the Snap 't' at 2:25 is in fact the single spey from 2:06 again? Otherwise nice video!

I don't want to be negative. I don't ever touch the water, because it robs the forward cast of energy as it moves forward. Those casts that touch the water prior to the target area are just what they appear to be, bad casts. Learn line control. Any cast a man starts and catches a fish is a fish is the best cast. Manup if you make a bad cast and still catch a fish, have the decency to call it a bad cast and praise God for your good luck.
