Carver Arena (Peoria Civic Center) has hosted hockey ever since it opened. The Rivermen were originally called the Peoria Prancers. They changed to Rivermen after two seasons as the Prancers. The Rivermen have also played in four different leagues (IHL, ECHL, AHL, and now SPHL) and are probably the only minor league hockey team to win championships at all three levels.

Now you need to do summer collegiate baseball leagues such as the Coastal Plain League, where you can actually do a team called the Macon Bacon. Also once went to Crown Coliseum that saw a game with only one period played followed by a shootout to decide the game because the arena only has one Zamboni which didn't work to fix up the ice between periods.

That’s on you man, it’s been a thing for over a decade, and pretty much all of the cities where there are currently teams have had pro hockey there for far longer. The most historic imo would be the Peoria Rivermen, who were previously the AHL affiliate of the Blues or the Birmingham Bulls who are a callback to the WHA and ECHL franchises of that name
@henryca034 ай бұрын
@@CrescentCitySweatersThe SPHL has existed for two decades actually. Fayetteville, Huntsville, and Knoxville have been around since the league's formation, although Knoxville is the only one among the three to play every season, because of the global cooties.
