The story of the video is that this is actually what they used to do (minus stealing homeless guys clothes) they used to BARGE into places making noise and hyping each other up and singing acapella to anyone in their way and then barge into record execs offices and meetings and hop on the table and FORCE them to listen to them (and many record execs rejected them including Simon Cowell who regret it afterwards). They were each others hype men and had so much confidence that it intimidated people. So this video represents all that.

Eventually they sacked the group that formed them and went on their own, making chaos in every building the set foot on to be heard and signed.

They weren't manufactured at all. They are the epitome of being unapologetically you and embracing every personality & growing organically as a team with a joint vision. It was an add in stage magazine that brought them together but once they knew what they had they did a bunk and took control of their own destiny in a dramatic getaway & stealing their demo tapes by hiding it in their underwear. They then went onto write their own songs with producers they met on their first ever showcase and stormed into record labels busting out in song to everyone. The hype was real and they did that!

As an Irelander, I can confirm that we do say "zed" 😁😁 - Interestingly, in the track "Never Ever", from British-based group All Saints (also very popular in Europe in the late 90's), they say both "from A to zee" and "from A to zed" in the lyrics. All Saints were "the thinking man's Spice Girls", if you will, lol.

Canadians say Zee and Zed. We’ve got the British and the American influences. I’m from Alberta and I was taught to say Zed in school (though I was in French immersion so I don’t know what’s it like in entirely English schools…I think Zed is the teaching standard in Canada). However, in places closer to the States, like places in Ontario, they may say Zee. I think Zee is still considered a very American pronunciation in Canada in general, though. There, more than you ever wanted to know on this subject. 😂 Also, pretty sure, looking back on it, that loving both the Spice Girls and the Backstreet Boys as a young girl probably helped along my pansexuality. 😅

I think for the video they just stormed this place, because everyone around them is looking at them and the camera guy like ??. Zig-A-Zig-Ah initially didn't have a clear meaning cos the song is about love and respecting her friends first in order to be her guy, but afterwards Mel B said it was about sex. So maybe it's more like the verses and chorus is what they say to the guy and then the rap parts are her telling her friends she's horny but doesn't wanna make it obvious to guys to not seem easy.
