Their management prevented them from being successful pursuing a different concept, because they made their name The Spice Girls and gave the members stage names reflecting their assigned personalities and styles. This song is catchy but not iconic in the same way some of their other singles were. This is them trying to be Destiny's Child. Their switch to this from their Spice Girls concept is an admission by their management that they didn't think the old concept would continue to sell well. What I'm saying is that at this point, The Spice Girls were past their prime, and even their management knew that so they tried to switch it up.

I grew up being a huge fan of the spice girls and I am still to this day. Most of us would remember the lyrics even without listening for a long time. There will never be another pop band like them ever again. I am so happy I was part of their era!

My favorite parts are: All Mel C solos (pre-chorus, middle 8, ad-libs...she owns the song and her voice sends chills down my spine), Mel B's verse and Mel C and Emma's harmonizing together in the chorus. Particularly the line "you will give in to meee" always gives me goose bumps, Mel C and Emma harmonies are unique, I've never heard a similar sound in other girl groups.

They all have such unique voices among girl groups who sound the same most of the time! Listen to I Know Him So Well - Mel C & Emma duet! Amazing voices! My take on this - Mel B's sexy, sultry voice, amazing looks and she's by far the best dancer, Mel C's crisp, clear voice with is the strongest of the group, Emma's lovely, innocent and sweet voice which sends you to a peaceful place and Victoria's beautiful pitch and her best vocals with the Spice Girls which does sound a bit like J-Lo's! And this look (am glad she went back to the long, black hair) suits Vic better!

TheMichaelCW Yes I have noticed this even more that, the Spice Girls all have a different voice- pitch and yes, unlike most famous female bands/artists all sound the same and definitely cannot tell of which Girl is singing, just tge Spice Girls have their own natural harmonies, and they take their career seriously, and they don't use auttotune, which what I love best about all of them! 🅰👌 and the best in ever!!!

Remembering them, I remember of the late TV host Augusto (Gugu) Liberato. I'm 22, they was part of my childhood. They often was on his shows almost every sunday at evening!

Craig Callaghan Forever was a great album but it was just too repetitive. Skip through each song of the album and realise all but 2 or 3 sound the same. Spice and Spiceworld were their masterpieces! My personal favourite is Spice though ❤️
