Topher's cryptic final comment to Tobey saying "that was unscripted" has bothered me for years. What did he mean replying, "yeah, like everything?". What was he trying to say or imply?

I think you’re reading into a little too deep but I will say this about this unscripted interview. From my personal observation it looks like Topher does look up to Tobey professionally he actually said that. It also seems that Tobey and Topher have some fun picking on each other, not in a malicious way but a friendly fire big brother lil brother kinda way. Topher seems to be kindle passive aggressive, and sarcastic or playful comments towards Tobey. But it it’s really Topher wanting to bond and connect with Tobey but Tobey doesn’t always play along rather just plays his own tune.

It's a joke. This interview-show they did was called "Unscripted" and Tobey made a joke saying how *something-something* was unscripted. Topher just followed it up with "yeah, like everything" - because their whole show was UNSCRIPTED.

But the movie wasn't written with Venom in mind. It was a Marvel producer who wanted to bring Venom to the big screen. If you look at the movie, Sandman is a well realized villain, who's definitely powerful enough to cause some real trouble. By comparison, Venom seems forced into the script.

Not sure how you can say that, the whole black suit thing is absolutely fundamental to the script and Peter's character in the movie, in scene after scene. And obviously the black suit has to become Venom.

jinofthethunder from his facial language I would say Topher was more amused, flustered or making a mischievous face in response to Tobey's acknowledgment - as if to say, "yeah, don't wear it out". Personally I didn't detect any anger on Topher's end, just him trying to hold back laughter or another sarcastic comment (as they have to wrap up the interview). The nervous crossed-arm posture Topher is holding and the wry look on his face (which is permanently there) threw people off, I think. people said they felt hostile tension between these two guys here, but having watched this interview a few times over the years I can't say I agree. This is the conversation you get between two introverted, observant, dry-witted guys who understand each other and like each other quite a lot but are a little embarrassed by their affinity for whatever reason. Actors (or extroverts competing with each other for all the air in the room) who hate each other don't riff typically off each other like this, or trade compliments.
