He's taller than Gwen now, also his suit has changed along with gwens suit with changes as well. I don't know why you'd think it takes place after the first one, nothing implies that. Literally nothing said that the portal opening in the first movie took place after he became the official new spider-man of his universe. If anything YOU are the one tripping. Even Gwens shoes changed.

Ok so, i'm here after seeing the movie, and here's what i noticed (spoiler warning for the record) Apparently the original plan wasn't for gwen to have a bigger role and show her universe, it was actually to immediatly start after the 1st, since in the first, after miles swings through the city and makes his re-introduction, we can see him already grown up at the end with gwen's voice in the background. I believe something happened in the meantime, then he got grounded. In this version miles seems more, "electric and fast" since hes going all crazy taking the toys out of his room, unlike the final one where hes more chill about it and seems more mature. Another thing is that, we weren't going to actually see Spider man india on mumbai, we were meant to actually see miguel, chasing miles through multiverses, for no reason that we know of. (At least in this version of it) Gwen is also seen in different clothing and acts way different than in the final movie, and the drawing in miles's notebook weren't as much as the final, another thing to note, is that the original title had a "PART ONE" in it, it was prob scrapped to fit more on the trilogy side of things. I'd be interested in seeing what the original idea for the movie was, either way the movie was amazing, 11/10 already watched it 5 times, SONY TAKE MY MONEY.

I love how they decided to add a hug scene when Gwen meets Miles. It gives it more of an awkward moment between them instead of what happened in this trailer where when she came in it was like they only saw each other as friends. At least this one she didn't destroy his heart by opening that collectible.
