Best cliffhanger since Empire Strikes Back. It not only leaves our hero in immediate peril vs. the Prowler (himself!), he still has to cope with the multiverse-hopping Spiderforce looking to stop him, as well as struggling to find a way home to save his father from the eldritch villain Spot. All he's got going for him is a hand no longer gloved so he can Spider-shock an escape, and a rogue team of Spider allies he doesn't know about yet that can help him.

Man, the whole Uncle Aaron and other Miles scene was unbelievably intense! All the funny moments went away in the entire scene, except Baby May pointing to the window and pulling down her mask gave it so much flare. They did an awesome job with this. What What I find neat is looking at the subtle difference in artstyle between the two Miles': Prowler Miles has distinct cross-hatching and heavy, all black lineart and face lines, whereas Spiderman Miles has the ben day dots and brown face lines (can't concretely tell if all his lineart is brown, but I wanna say it is if you look closely at his chin) Idk if this is a universe vs universe thing, but it's such a cool subtle detail

okay so i may or may not have realized a pretty good theory as for who the real villain of the across the spider verse and beyond the spider verse is: Miguel's A.I assistant Lyla. In yhe post credit scene of into the spider-verse, shes seen as a lot more laid back and not as loving toward miguel (at first). But then cut back to across the spiderverse where shes a lot more engaging with Miguel in the loving/flirting sort of manner. "what does this have to do with her being a villain though?" Well, remember how Miguel had gone to a different universe to be with a family he never had but wanted to be with? what im thinking is: Lyla got so jealous with Miguel and his family, that she found a way to bomb the entire dimension to unravel, and made Miguel hers again. Thats why she's a lot more happier in the 2nd movie: She's since accomplished her goal and has brought her closer to Miguel.
