As time has past Chris has become far more critical and refined. If he was to return to homecoming today he would probably give it an even lower score to reflect his evolving taste and perception of film. People change. It's not really that big of a contradiction. I really love this movie. Pretty much every aspect I liked. Acting, action, humor, story, characters, twists, sets, locations. I love that Spider-man was not in New York. I liked this actor as Spider-man maybe a tad bit more than Tobey Mcguire's Spider-man. There are so many laugh out loud moments. I love when Spider-man breaks Fury's seatbelt. lol.

Great review, Chris! I really liked how this movie dealt with the aftermath of Endgame. It did a great job of balancing that heavier heartfelt stuff with the lighthearted fun comedy we expect from a Spider-Man movie.

I loved Far From Home, and I absolutely enjoyed it. The Positives: The acting (Tom is amazing yet again) the story, the villain (Jake is marvelous as Mysterio), the humor, the action sequences, the Illusion scene, how it deals with the MCU after Endgame, and THE ENDING. The Negatives: Too much CGI, and it focused a little too much on Iron Man’s death. Overall, I had a blast with Far From Home, and definitely another great Spider-Man movie. It’s not as good as Homecoming, but I still loved FFH. I’d give it an 8.5/10.

Ok so I saw Far From Home last night and COME ON, CHRIS. It was just bad. The direction was absolutely all over the place, same with the editing, zero of the jokes landed, there were no stakes, the visual effects and cinematography were so bad I thought I was watching a TV movie (except for the sequences, you know the ones), and it was so boring I was embarrassed for everyone in the movie. It felt 3 hours long and I’m glad I saw Midsommar the same day because I needed to restore my faith in movies

I was a little let down with homecoming due to the fact that I felt Peter was too babied by Tony Stark and that became to much of the central focus. I still enjoyed it, I think I was just hoping for some Spider-man 2 level goodness. I'm glad to hear this one improved from the first though! I think its best for Spider-man to work mostly independent without major Avenger help. Can't wait to see the film for myself.
@kingreinhardt80685 жыл бұрын
Agreed I don’t like how he was so dependent on the suit and the AI like he can fight he is so crafty using the environment he doesn’t need a suit to go kill mode for him I hope they improve as he grows
@TheWisdomBear5 жыл бұрын
King Reinhardt yeah I’m hoping the new suits minimize the tech he has. I wouldn’t mind as much if he made the tech himself and they were fairly basic like Spider-Man PS4. The AI, Karen, was a little too much imo. I felt she was put in there as a way to progress the movie faster.
@TheWisdomBear5 жыл бұрын
Eric J You’re missing the point bud. The core of Spider-Man is a teen learning “with great power comes great responsibility” all on his own, often making mishaps along the way. Now homecoming did have him eventually have to work independently at the end which was one of the best scenes. But most of the movie he had Tony Stark or an AI suit doing everything for him. The issue isn’t the story it’s more the missing elements that make Spider-Man a fantastic character. The movie is by no means bad, it’s just missing some key elements that previous iterations have.
@kingreinhardt80685 жыл бұрын
Wisdom Bear spiderman ps4 gadgets were amazing I feel like they blended so well with his power set I’d like that in the mcu
