So many people just see her as just a thief, that it's meant to be heartwarming when she actually returns the toys. I thought it was heartwarming, but I actually like the character while also recognizing that people see whatever they want in her. I was accidentally the perfect audience for this.

That first story is why, from the 90s to now, Ben Reilly is my favorite super hero. For all the angst and drama, for all the pain and both physical and mental torment, Ben Reilly would always- ALWAYS -not only do the right thing, but believe it was the right thing to do. He believed in the value of others, of their lives having meaning, of life itself having meaning. He gave up his future at the start of his story explicitly because he wasn't willing to take that future at the cost of someone else's. Ben, to me, is what heroes should aspire to be. Selfless, kind, understanding, and willing to put doing good ahead of themselves. Hell, even since his revival in that Jackal storyline in more recent years, he's STILL that same guy, albeit vastly more jaded. Even when he tried to be an asshole super-villain because of how mentally and spiritually broken he became, he STILL defaulted to good, to doing the right thing, to trying to make the world a better place any way he can. It doesn't matter whether you're a clone or an original, whether you're rich or poor, strong or weak. It just matters that you step up when the time comes and calls for someone to step up. Period.

It says something about Ben Reily that his soul had to be literally broken apart by consecutive dying to go evil. AND EVEN THEN that is a case of "insanity causing him to do good by using bad methods" (his stint as Jackal). Even Death tried to help him from what i heard And thanks to doc ock as superior spider-man (and spider-geddon ignoring how ben reily's first solo comic post dead no more ended with him going full villain after dying again and going insane), reily is, while jaded and back to existential issues, is still trying to do good

I've said it before, but I'll say it again. My favorite Spiderman Christmas story is from an anthology comic I had as a kid, had to be mid-90's. Short synopsis - Mephisto kidnaps the angel of Christmas and imprisons him in Hell. For the good of everyone, Spidey offers to trade his soul for the angel's. But Peter Parker is so righteous that his soul repels Mephisto, and he just walks out with the angel in tow. One More Day really should have just been Peter reminding Mephisto of that, and staring him down until he gave in.

First story made me happy, better than most "OH NAUR GWEN AT THE BRIDGE BUT AGAAAAAIN!" scenes I've seen, the second one… barely got anything at that, but hey, it's one of my faves! I liked seeing some awful guys getting their comeuppance even if I'm not that big of a Venom fan, the fourth story was just o_o; to me, and the last one… wholesome, I enjoyed seeing that little bit of friendship between the two of them, immensely happy and very warm for this season (which has yet to arrive this year). Hell yeah! The snap will destroy this world one day pfffff.

They're pretty fun. The basic gimmick of their main show, Back Issues, is that Sal is a lifelong comic book fan with a bunch of friends who don't read comics, and so he tries to fill them in on what's happening. The discussions get bonkers. For a good taste, they have a Instagram account and a "Shorts" KZbin side channel, with short clips from episodes that are hysterical.

True. At this point the symbiote had developed some resistance to loud noises (there was an issue where Scarlet Spider tried yelling at him with a megaphone. Venom just laughed and crushed it, stating "our other has built up his resistance"), but it would still cause some discomfort at the very least.

It is a good question of who has the license to sell those Venom dolls. I know that the Kingpin actually owned the rights to sell merchandise for various heroes who had secret identities and therefore couldn't own the merchandising rights to their superhero identities and couldn't sue because you need to have a legal identity to sue for this kind of infringement on your image. But Venom is technically the identity of a living being (technically two combined, but let's not complicate this more than we need to) and, even if he's a non-citizen, he still has a right to what his physical image put to. Because that's what he actually looks like, that's him not a costume or an assumed identity.

How weird is it that a common occurrence in Marvel Christmas comics are when villains dress up like or become Santa Claus? The Rhino did it in an issue of the Hulk's books, Santa changed reality so Galactus was Santa in Gwenpool's series, Ultron got reprogramed by a little girl before crashing an Avengers Holiday party as Santa, Venom dresses up like the festive fat man here, Marvel's got a real fake Claus problem!

When Ben got killed the sales for Spider-man titles dropped significantly afterwards and only rebounded with the hype of the raimi movie (Because many new people came in and tryied to get into the comics). Ben is popular enough here that people not only cosplay as him, we even had to BEG our publisher to re-release the entire clone-saga in trade form a few years ago because we like Ben A LOT over here. I'm not even exagerating here, we actually did campaign to get the clone saga rereleased.
