Toby was wise with age and experience, as seen when he stopped Tom from killing the green goblin. The look in his eyes, told the wisdom he learned throughout his life. Andrew got to right his wrongs and got the encouragement he needed to be a better man, like Toby had become. And Tom now has the chance to step into the adult version of himself and leave his childishness behind. It's what Toby and Andrew had to do before they found their true power. Toby and Andrew had to leave behind their loved ones because they didnt want them to be hurt, they also had to suffer the loss of uncle ben and their parents. This is Tom (peter) stepping into his manhood. Choosing to be responsible for the greater good.

The ending with the memory stuff honestly makes me so sad but I find it so FREAKING smart. Now he’s not connected to iron man, all of his villains will be his own, his tech will be his own, he can actually be the friendly NEIGHBORHOOD spiderman. Still sad about him basically losing everyone he’s ever had. I honestly couldn’t imagine the pain and loneliness
@Supermason3000

The most irritating thing about this Spiderman was his connection to Ironman. It was like Ironman created Spiderman which is not true at all. I love the direction. I'm hopeful again for this franchise and maybe he could pull off where the first two iterations fell off with their trilogies or in Andrew's case his 2nd. I honestly consider this Tom's first actual Spiderman movie. His introduction.

@JujuInFlames

@@greywolf7577 nothing is stopping him from rejoining but I’m saying he’ll go back to smaller scale villains, aka villains that are his own. Vulture is basically an iron man villain getting revenge, mysterio is an iron man villain getting revenge, and obviously the avengers villains were just avengers villains. Hopefully people he fights in the future have gripes with HIM, not because he’s the pupil of iron man like how has been so far

Absolutely loved that the interactions between the spideys we thought should happen, happened. Like when Tobey mentioning he's got organic webbing and Andrew making it worse by putting it into words while they Tom and him joke in unison and later Andrew reacting it as gross in the final fight when Tobey accidentally shoots web on his face. And the "my back" scene, it was hilarious. Also Tom's Spidey finally becoming an authentic Spider-Man. I guess, despite my reservations I had before the release, I must admit this is probably one of the best Spider-Man movie to date.

Spoiler below, beware: This movie was a fan service, as a spiderman fan I couldn't ask for anything more....there were so many easter eggs.. -seeing Matt Murdock was just awesome. -seeing all those villians was nostalgic. -seeing the other two was just next level. -the clock of levitation around peter was from whatif -the mirror dimension fight and peter winner over dr strange was just brilliant. -aunt may role just make so much sense with the epic dialogue we had been hearing since childhood. -her death makes us very emotional -the fact where all 3 spiderman pointed at each other just like the meme.... -the venom we know is a good guy, but now just the symbiote is left, could be next villian. -doctor strange wasn't much involved and we see tom Holland's spiderman just as we want...doing things that a spiderman would do. -the music -the action -the comedy Everything was just so good. Once in a lifetime moment. Definitely topped endgame in my list. -

I think Andrew’s Spider-Man is more similar to Tom’s than Tobey’s. He’s still reeling from his losses and has not healed. Tobey is clearly presented as the most mature of the three and is the most battle-hardened; some may say his portrayal was boring, but I think he’s more composed because he’s the most experienced. Literally an eldest brother, middle child, and youngest brother relationship among the three Spideys. Fantastic performance from these gentlemen

Also, you enunciate well, infuse the 'right' degree of emotion and leave room for disagreement. Your optimism is contagious too. I see the ending as quite depressing but with a potential light side. I feel really sorry for Tom’s Peter because he has pretty much gone from absolutely everyone knowing who he is to completely no-one, not even his friends or family. But I believe it’s good because it’s the first time we will get to see Tom’s Spider-Man become completely independent, we don’t get to see Tom as just another MCU Spider-Man but THE Spider-Man we’ve known throughout our childhood. It truly is a fresh start for Peter and I really cannot wait to see what they get up to!

Tobey just came from a point further down his timeline. That’s why he said to Andrews Spider-Man having someone does work out or can work. As in Spider-Man 3 they went on and lived together, mcu is always really simple in their reasonings. And Andrew is deffo the best Spider-Man now, he deserves the amazing Spider-Man 3 movie to be made now. In this film he somehow improved his Spider-Man and Peter Parker plus he has the best on screen suit.

I find it hard to believe that we won’t see spider-man in future avengers team-ups. I mean, from a narrative point of view, everyone in the avengers remembers fighting with or against spider-man in civil war, everyone who was on titan remembers fighting thanos with spider-man, and mj, ned, and strange still remember everything that happened in this movie, right? They just don’t remember that spider-man is peter. So I’d find it really weird if the next avengers level threat came up and noone thought of bringing in spider-man. Also, remember that Tony had a picture with Peter framed at home? I’m sure Pepper didn’t throw that in the bin! I think all of those paper trails will eventually lead to the avengers rediscovering spider-man’s identity. Regardless, I’m super excited to see what direction the franchise will move in, and what Peter’s overarching story arc will be. I just hope Sony and Marvel will be able to work out all the legal stuff…

I could be overlooking an obvious answer, but I’m confused as to why he lost his former suits… if inanimate objects still exist, how come he can’t use his suits. His night monkey suit had no ties to stark and I believe free of AI so that should be safe to use… the other suits are questionable for if AI would recognize Peter Parker as Spider-Man still but if He was able to obtain objects from his old place with May, he wouldn’t need to make a new suit. His decision to make a new suit doesn’t make much sense to me as the others have varying special attributes that can be helpful. Even stated in this video, Tony *would* have remembered helping Spider-Man as a mentor so it’s not like Stark Industries would be like “ahem how’d you get this stark tech spidey?”

They just tried to do way too much way too soon with his story in the 2nd film and everyone fucking hated it. But Andrew himself was always charismatic enough and right for the role. The story around his character just never had much of the "it" that made a spider-,man movie a spider-man movie and by the mid point of the 2nd movie it becomes a chore to watch rather than an experience much less an enjoyable one. I watched it in theaters and even tho I and everyone else knew what they were trying to set up in the 3rd film.....I just did not care to ever see a 3rd one be made. It was just a mess and a headache. Andrew was always amazing tho

Spiderman waS revealed to be Peter Parker, that was world wide viral news and that physical/digital evidence will exist on KZbin and all over social media platforms on on people's timeliness, shares etc; I also imagine parkers name and all their text messages are on MJs phone, Happy etc; but maybe this is indeed a very intentional flaw to the whole thing, because it allows peters loved ones to rediscover their connection to Peter Parker.....but like I said, its very flawed in that it still doesn't shatter the Parker is spiderman reveal at all because the evidence is still out there.

Something that makes me feel better about Ben Parker never really being mentioned as much in these films is that I think Ben died long before Peter became Spider-Man. It makes more sense, and we are noe seeing a Peter and May who have gotten over their grief. There are still moments, but life does go on after a loved one dies. It would have been cool though if we saw next to May's headstone a stone for Ben and it read "death date 2014" or something. Something were Peter knew him but he died several years before Spider-Man.

THIS MOVIE WAS SOO GOOD! I really wanted to cry tears of joy but I held them back. I won't hold them back tomorrow though when I see it again because omg it exceeded my expectations tremendously. Tom did such a great job as Peter and Spider-Man in this film and I loved seeing Andrew and Tobey sooo much. I especially loved how they called back and made references to their universes and films too. I also loved the fact that they emphasized the fact that Tobey, Andrew, and the rest of the Spider-Man multiverse villains know NOTHING about the the multiverse and how they cannot believe that something like this is possible/real. I loved how they didn't know who the Avengers were and that their universe had magic but they made sure to take time to put those little pieces of dialogue in to show the audience that. Venom and the symbiote being in the MCU as well has me hype for these upcoming Spider-Man movies. This movie was a 11/10, everyone in the movie played their role perfectly and I can't wait to see the future of Spider-Man. Also the new Doctor Strange trailer was sick, Dr. Strange is definitely one of my favorites after Infinity War, Endgame, and NWH.

Something im interested to see going forward is whether they introduce any of these villians' variants into the mcu. Like if mcu peter parker finds out there is a norman Osbourne becoming a bigger player in tech or weapons, does he wait for him to 'become' goblin or does he try and stear their path in the mcu? Would anyone believe him?

I want Sony to continue in the Venom universe with Andrew Garfield as their Spiderman and Tom Holland as MCU Spiderman. It'd be nuts if Tom Holland would be Spider-Man outside of the MCU imo. Sony could do something like The Amazing Spider-Man 3 and Venom 3 being the same movie called Spider-Man vs Venom or something
@matro8147
@matro8147 2 жыл бұрын
You made a very good point. There is no Venom in Andrew's universe and there is no Spiderman in Hardy's universe. With the way the story ended in this movie they could logitically put those 2 in a Sony movie and leave Tom Holland in his own universe as the Venom himself with fantastic 4 entering the scene. Maybe Sony sees the positive feedback Andrew's Spiderman got and say lets make it happen.

I was literally telling my best friend this leaving the theater. Like bro. Leave Tom in the mcu, take a cut of those profits, and have Andrew carry on your Sony universe with venom. Not that Tobey deserves to be shoved to the back ground and forgotten about but idk Andrew is just more charismatic in the role for me.

Everyone was wonderful in this film. Dafoe stole the show for me. While I like the Holland Spider-Man films the most, this film gave me a new appreciation for the Maguire and Garfield films. Truly loved this film and hope Holland continues being Spider-Man - especially after the symbiote tease at the end.

Spiderman NWH was truly amazing. This film shows what true passion is in the film making industry catering to the fans. I was at the preview with my wife yesterday and man did it feel heartwarming hearing people clap/cheer! To give my own opinion, I read some of the comments and I personally think they wont make another Tobey or Andrew spidey movie. I mean can they? yea totally!! But in this movie from the moment they stepped in, Me and like everyone else we were lost in this amazing adventure were three different Spider-Man’s collide and share their stories. Tobey the OG, the Spider-Man I grew up with. Seeing him in the film playing the older spidey really made my heart melt man. In the movie he speaks of his adventures and says he goes on as the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man everyone knows and loves. But that he had overcome his challenges from uncle Ben dying in his arms to losing his best friend also in his arms. He has been able to move on to continue as Spidey and to still fix his complications with MJ. As the movie ends it almost feels like his character has finally got the ending it deserved. The same for Andrew, but in this case Andrew still dwells in the darkness still searching for his peace. Well actually in the movie he said he gave up and just kept doing spidey stuff but he needed Tobey and Tom. To show him that no matter what, no matter what happens we overcome it’s what Spider-Man does! Andrews spidey still has time to think and maybe even find an MJ of his own. But as the movie goes on you truly see that each one of them has a slightly different character but still the motive of your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. Andrew could return but his life has to move on and continue living, he could use a little Peter Parker time in which he deserves, he needs a little normal in his life. In my Opinion this new direction in which the “new” spidey is heading could potentially be the greatest thing ever for toms spidey, if he continues on anyhow. Who knows what will happen next?

When Andrew saved mj, you could in that instant, feel what he was thinking. He was thinking: “I won’t let you down this time” Even tho he saved a girl he’s never met, he knows how much mj means to toms Peter Parker. Really great moment from him

I actually didn't like the fact that everyone won't know who Peter Parker is. It is like rebooting spider-man again where he's working on his own again and no high tech stuff from stark. That's what made this version of spider-man different. His involvement with other MCU characters is also gone. I feel like this was done to make it easier for sony to remove spider-man from MCU to their spideyverse.

exactly this, and that's why I don't know how to feel about the movie. Or really any part of the MCU that has had Tom in it, feels like it's all for nothing.

I think it's fine, because the Avengers still remember working with Spider-Man, not Peter. The only two people who worked personally with peter was Tony and Happy. Tony is dead, and happy remembers working with spider man presumably (last scene at the gravesite makes that clear), but not peter having anything to do with it. Likely the same for the other heroes, so it keeps him established as a hero, yet without the personal knowledge of who he is regarding stark tech and stuff. It's a soft reboot, but keeps his impact alive and strong in-universe
@podracer35
@podracer35 2 жыл бұрын
@@isaboll1 That makes sense. It doesn't change the past, just the future and the memories everyone currently alive have of Spider-Man. The way I'm thinking of it is any memory people have of Spider-Man without his mask will just be replaced with Spider-Man with a mask. I think the thing that bothers me the most is that it erased his friendships too. Spider-Man remains intact in the memories of the world, but Peter Parker is gone entirely and I don't know exactly how that works. Does it erase any photographic evidence of him, physically erasing him from his reality? Does Peter still have a government ID? Because then the influence goes beyond just people's memories and has the potential to erase Peter Parker completely, leaving only Spider-Man. I still have to wrap my head around how Peter's erasure worked, before I'm totally okay with the ending. Thematically, it was a nice sacrifice for Peter to make, though.

@podracer35 that's how I feel. I feel like the fact that no one will remember who Peter Parker is leaves so many questions rather than a true conclusion. I felt like it's a soft reboot and considering Sony and Disney have had their issues renegotiating their deals. It concerns me because I love spider-man in the MCU. Still a good movie and happy to see Andrew get some love because I liked him as Peter / Spider-man

That was the point. The spell made them forget Peter Parker. Not Spiderman, for them Peter doesn't exist, why they don't remember who Spiderman is actually. Just making them forget who Peter was wasn't enough they had to forget he ever existed.
