I just realized at the end of the movie when Miles busts a move trying to turn off the reactor, Gwen and Peter are both like "did you teach him that?" That exact move was from this scene. Miles must have remembered and copied this move from the original Peter Parker.

One thing I always loved about this scene is how fast they made Spider-Man move during his fight vs the Green Goblin. Like in the comics he’s depicted as insanely fast but I always feel like in animations like Spectacular Spider-Man, Ultimate Spider-Man, or even in the live action films his speed was never really done justice. But here, he is _lightning_ fast, like here for instance 0:45 and it’s so cool to see. Goblin can’t even manage to touch him because of how fast Peter is, and it’s something I wish we got to see more of.

This is why I personally love this comic animation style. Also 2D animations is great for this. Just for example, in Star wars many lightsaber battles are also supposed to be very fast like you mentioned in this fight but it was never visibly shown in any movie. However in the clone wars 2003 series you see the duels are like they were always described in books

Yup, if Miles got out and Peter didn’t have to save him, Peter would’ve destroyed the collider in time and gotten out. After a while, Miles could’ve met Peter and have him as his mentor, but these what ifs will never come true since this all already happened 😭 It’s just nice to think about and realizing how much better the story would’ve been

Agreed. You know, Miles hardly didn’t get involved in the collider situation. Peter told him to stay put and that’s exactly what happened! Miles didn’t even move. Everything else just happened on its own. When Peter died, Miles had to step in.

@@cyberneko4913 all these universes have multiple differences that make them unique. We simply don’t know what kind of a life prowler miles had before we meet him. In our miles universe his uncle is already active as the prowler and had a Spider-Man already in existence. Miles is a good kid and extremely unlikely for all the reasons above to become the prowler. It’s far far more likely our miles would have just been a normal person. People are going to far with all their theories about this, we literally don’t have anything of substance but yet so many people are convinced their head canons are accurate lol. Heck for all we know “prowler miles” would have been a bad guy anyway, getting these powers is no guarantee they’d become hero’s. We simply don’t know anything.

In Superior Spider-Man run, Otto, who's currently in Spider-Man's body, accidently broke Shocker's jaw in one punch (or was it Scorpion(?) I forgot) Really shows that Peter was holding back this whole time and would definitely rip the Sinister Six in a sec if he ever went full power

I love how when we first see Peter alongside Miles, He’s already fighting the Green Goblin, And I’m fairly certain Norman died in the explosion shortly before Peter died. I think after seeing every Spiderman trilogy have the green goblin as a major villain, If not the main antagonist, it’s really refreshing to see him treated as a minor character in Miles’ story as we get to see more underutilized characters get the limelight.

It takes a little from how it happened in the original Ultimate Comics, which take place on the comics 1610(1610A). Spider-Man died fighting Goblin and both died on the same night. This one however is the superior way to approach it in my opinion. While the comics handled it well, this movie version integrated miles into the event better. In the comics miles felt shoehorned in like 'oh yeah this kid miles also saw him die but from the background and had no interaction with him'

@@josh26566 I’m well aware that this takes inspiration from Peter Parker’s death in ultimate spiderman, and you’re right. This version is way better. Something I also really like about this version of peters death in comparison to the comic death from miles’ perspective is that the Peter Parker portrayed here is a way different character when compared to the Peter Parker we know. We don’t know much about this Spiderman, but what we do know is that he’s comically perfect. Stereotypically has blonde hair and blue eyes alongside being insanely competent and all around a top bloke. In the comics, we know that Peter Parker isn’t perfect and has flaws, but here, we are alongside miles in wondering how he could live up to peters legacy, and this is what makes Peter B so important as a mentor, he’s the reality of spider man while this Peter is the idealized vision we have of Spiderman. If Peter B, Even in his slobbish and depressive state after hitting rock bottom is capable of being Spiderman, And being the most experienced and competent Spiderman at that, then why can’t miles? Peter B is a reminder that there is always a person behind the mask, and anyone can be that person.

If u slow it down and look @3:14 spider man’s spidey sense is visible and in the next frame goblin comes. This for like 2-3 frames and to fast to see in normal speed, so the fact that animators remembered to animate it says ALOT about the care that went into the movie.

@@LlamuMay I ask why? I'm trying to love the sequel, but I just can't. This movie is perfect in nearly single way and I NEVER use that word. In ATSP, meanwhile, some of the jokes just aren't that great, the live-action segments are kinda jarring, some characters like Jessica are just really basic and forgettable, and it doesn't really have dramatic scenes that compare to ones like the "What's up, danger?" scene
