The body language thing can actually be really useful too. I once did a card trick but messed it up in a way that I could only narrow down the selected card to one of two options. I held up both facing the person who had chosen the card and watched his eyes. They immediately looked at the selected card and lingered for half a second. At that point I could confidently reveal his selection. Watching body language saved the performance.

I really enjoyed this, and was surprised how simple it appears once you explained it. I would have never figured it out on my own. That is the beauty of magic. It is an art and a talent many of us don't possess. Even at 57 years old I am still impressed with magic tricks. I have always enjoyed sleight of hand tricks like this because it happens right in front of the spectator's face. I have never really cared for the big illusion tricks. Even after watching this video, I could practice it 1,000 times and still screw it up. Again, magic is a skill and talent some of us just don't possess. So I am better off just watching and enjoying the fun

Hey Spidey! Thank you so much for all of your awesome videos! It amazes me to learn these great tricks of yours and that you give them to your audience just for free. I have great respect for you! I tried to get my head around how the interlocking chain shuffle actually works and I noticed that every third or fourth time I went through the whole process it didn't work (another electronics card was placed in between the selected card and the sun). After quite a while of digging I thought of a way to ensure the interlocking chain shuffle works pretty much 100% of the time: If you reduce the ratio of your electronics cards. In your deck you have (according to your video) 11 electronics cards (with the sun 12) and 45 cards in total. That means that after the first interlocking chain shuffle the sun will be in average the 24th card from top in the deck (which is, I think, a problem, since it is then placed in the lower half of the deck). Because when you half the deck again for the second interlocking chain shuffle, the sun is in the bottom half and will be mixed with the upper half which contains the other electronics cards. And so another electronics card may come between the selected card and the sun, which will mess up the trick. To solve the problem I have only 9 electronics cards (10 with the sun) and a total of 52 cards (I added some more none electronic cards). That means that after my first interlocking chain shuffle the sun will be around the 20th card from top. Even if the spectator doesn't cut the deck perfectly in half when shuffling for the second time (because I don't expect a regular person to be able to cut the deck exactly in the middle), it is still pretty much ensured that the sun will be in the upper half of the deck, which will then be mixed with the lower half (all non-electronic cards). There is then no way an electronic card can end up between the selected card and the sun. I hope I was able to articulate that whole process in a way that is understandable :) Thank you again Spidey for everything! You are awesome! :)

Yeah having less in the top stack works but an even cut and a good shuffle does as well because basically you just need to avoid electronics in the bottom half after the first shuffle. If you want to be safe. You cut and offer them the shuffle but I’ve never needed to do that. It really shouldn’t fail 1/4 times if the shuffle is a decent riffle shuffle

It is necessary for the Shuffle Riffle to be performed by someone who can do it a little. The author of the video is right that it must be a "decent" Shuffle Riffle, otherwise it will go wrong. Many tricks are based on apparent chaos, but Shuffle Riffle, if done well, will not allow real chaos. If you want 100% certainty, make sure that the selected card returns to the deck of cards turned 180 degrees. You will find it after any mixing. In the final, don't forget to scatter all the cards on the table so that it is not possible to find out that only one card is turned 180 degrees. This mental trick can be taken very far. For example, I don't care which card the viewer chooses from any number of cards and I don't even use a stripper, crimp or marked card. I just have to shuffle the cards first and then everyone can shuffle as they wish. :) There are many possibilities. Good luck.

So I figured out how to do this without the pinky break and all that which I’m terrible at. - [ ] electronics are after the sun. - [ ] Show the person in all the cards make it messy show that there’s food, animals, as soon as you get to the sun make sure it sticks out on the bottom. - [ ] Clean up the cards and put your thumb under the sun card and then make three piles the first pile is the electronics the second pile has the sun on top and the third pile is just the rest of the cards. - [ ] Have the person point to two piles just make sure the electronics are left for them to pick a card. When they pick a card have them put it on top of the sun pile and then the rest on top. - [ ] Tell them to think of their card. cement it in their mind, then say I get a feeling that you did not pick food and start shuffling through them and then also say I didn’t I don’t think you picked an animal or a living thing either and pointing different ones like you didn’t pick a tree or pick the pizza etc. As soon as you see the sun you know that the electronic right after the sun is there card. - [ ] Shuffle the cards once just say that you’re you think you’re almost ready and you wanna mix in your cart a little bit more. - [ ] Tell the person to think of their object and think of whether they can hold it in their hand or it would be on the floor or a table behind them or if it must be outside. Have them think for a minute or so picture it in that location. Then say based on the feeling I’m getting in your body language I think it’s something that is whatever it is outside behind them on a table etc. Then draw it have them say out loud what their object is, and reveal that you drew the same thing.

Spidey! I have come up with a slight (pun intended) improvement to this wonderful effect. Add one "food" card to the force stack. Do the trick as described, and when you asked if it was a food item or something they would eat and they say YES you immediately know what that food item is. I think this could be done with two food items in the force stack as long as they are kind of dissimilar such as a fruit and a vegetable. Make your patter suit the situation...I think this annuls any thought that the stack was, indeed, stacked! Thanks again for a great effect. I have had great success with it and it is a excellent "second trick or back up" to A.B. See. Well done!
