Glad to see you were gettting out while across the pond. The dark skies sound amazing!

Yeah man, had to take advantage of it. Wish the dark skies hadn't' been covered by clouds!

Awesome to get to experience some outdoor fun in another country. We went to Ireland a few years ago and the beauty was amazing. Glad you had fun!

Beautiful area. The mountain House chili Mac is good if you add in a packet of Velveeta jalapeno cheese
@SpiguyverBackpacking14 жыл бұрын
I just couldn't get over the cardboard taste and texture it had. I could see where some jalapeno cheese would help, but if I'm going to that trouble I might as well just bring something I like! Thanks!

Wonderful place!! I absolutely love it!! Avoid the summer though as the midgies are horrendous. There is another beautiful hammock spot at a place called otter pool which isn’t too far from there.

I'm sure, with all that water and wet ground I'm sure the bugs can nearly carry you away! Thanks!

That's a bit snooty there Mark. ;-) Mountain House isn't that bad. lol Thanks for bringing us along. It was nice to get across the pond again.

A little snooty, I'll admit, but man that food was HORRIBLE!!! It really was that bad! Thanks!

Great video pal, you really went up the wrong side of the loch to find the trail to valley it’s very rough and boggy anyway the side you did go up is probably the nicer walk. As far as trees go at valley there is some rowan trees whether there’s two together was a bit of a risk anyway. Cheers andy

Thanks man! I appreciate it, that area is amazing! I will be back, and I'll make sure to do it from the correct side!

I camped there recently and one of the best spots I've slept in. Also the coldest wild swim. Great video.

I’ve just come across your video whilst doing some research on wild camping in Galloway Forest, great video! Could I ask the model name of the Lowepro pouch on your sternum strap?

By the way... did you get the joke Summit to Eat... it’s a play on words some Northern dialects make something ‘summut’ as in Do you want summut to eat? 😆👍

How is that tarp holding up if you dont mind me asking? I am interested in the Winterdream from UGQ in the 15D but I really cant find much information online for long term quality. I noticed your initial review was almost 3 years ago now for the 15D Hex you're using. How are the stitches all holding up? Any rips or holes yet?
@SpiguyverBackpacking14 жыл бұрын
Zero issues with it. I love this tarp! As long as you know it is somewhat fragile and don't set it up where thorns or branches will be hitting it, I think you'll be fine. I know there have been some horror stories out there about the membrane, but I haven't experienced any of that.

@@SpiguyverBackpacking1 Thank you, i definitely understand the fact that i would need to be a little extra cautious, more so just worried about the overall durability of the material itself. I saw you had taken it on a trip to little kisatchi and it withstood some pretty wild wind. To the point that the stakes gave out first. That made me feel pretty good about it lol

Yeah, I don't miss the weather changes there and what we called the dark ages. Beautiful country though.
