Season 3 of Torchwood is easily RTD's most solid writing in any of his whoniverse shows. Just solid gold throughout

Oh yes, I just watched episode 8 and no doubt he is the most interested character on the show at this point.

I hated Owen in the first series but man in series 2 I love him, he was developed really well.

That cold open with the fish in a sports car, and the old lady's response of 'Bloody Torchwood!' was a fantastic way to plunge into series 2. I think this series benefits from the writers not feeling they have to bang on about adult themes at every turn - yes, there are still elements of it, but it doesn't seem to get in the way of the stories this series in the way it did in the first.

Always loved Spike on Buffy but then I also loved Keifer Sutherland as David in Lost Boys. Don't put a stake in my heart but I think I just have a thing for bleach blond bad boy vampires. Now that bites!

Hooray! James Marsters is simply fabulous. Though best known as Spike (I mean, of course, Spike was a delight), he's popped up in any number of fantasy/science fiction shows over the years. MY favourite role of his though, is the narrator of the book series The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher. If anyone is interested in a modern day world detective wizard's (he's even in the yellow pages) adventures, I can highly recommend listening to the audio books. Thanks Chris!

Things I liked about Torchwood series 2 was a good storyline and the characters where better and well developed. I felt the story really began here.
