these are definitely and industry revolution man. super streamlines, cheap/affordable, simple and efficient. good job Mr. Roboto. at this point im guessing you dont have to work much since i bet in about 5 years from now EVERYONE spinning will own one of your machines.

What you describe here is my dream for the EEW. Everything described is a step forward into the land of spinning perfection. I really like the sliders and oval construction. As someone else stated, please make sure the end caps don't extend so far as to impede filling the entire bobbin. This is an area of huge concern to me as most espinner makers tend to forget the importance of an evenly distributed bobbin. You can add my name to the early adopters and I am thrilled to know you'll be having a KickStart on this. Please hurry. I was planning on buying the newest full-sized EEW around Christmas and now I see I need to wait for this beauty in the making.

Great design, I'm looking forward to getting a big brother for my Nano! I hope the caps won't impede someone filling the bobbin on the far end.

Looking forward to this model. I would like to see a better tension string then on the nano. I really think that’s the basis for the nanos issues. The tension band was to thick. I went to Joan’s and bought a smaller width band from the jewelry section and it was a game changer. I forgot to mention everyone should oil their nano just like they oil the spinning wheel .

Thanks for the feedback. The tension system has been much improved on this version and all the testers have been liking it.

Please consider a neutral color for the body and bobbins. Like black or charcoal. I find the colored body and bobbins clash with the colors of the fiber being spun. I just feel that black or charcoal overall would give it a more sophisticated look.

I just got my Purple Deluxe version and I am excited! trying to figure it out on running it and start spinning. I will for sure be buying your new work of art. I would love to know when it will be out in the market. Thank you for such beautiful little machine. I am excited!!

WoooHoo! Cannot wait for the Classic Kickstarter. Loving my Nano but I am ready for a bigger capacity but still portable EEW!

Loving the updates you’re making. A couple of questions. With the felt under the bearing, when it becomes worn and compacted, won’t that make the bearing shift and wobble around in the resting space? Also, could the flyer arms be just slightly longer so the hook can reach the very end of the bobbin for even filling? :)

Very nice! I like the hooks instead of the guides like on the Eel. Price is very reasonable too.

Is the foot pedal just an on/off switch or is it able to control speed also? If it doesn't control speed, you may want to consider that feature somewhere down the line. It's very handy as often spinners must slow down to remove VM, second cuts etc ,especially those of us who process our own homegrown fleeces.
@DreamingRobotsBlog5 жыл бұрын
It just is an on/off switch. Thanks for the feedback.
@pikachu26895 жыл бұрын
Omg was JUST thinking that!
@cingibson5 жыл бұрын
@@DreamingRobotsBlog Please don't consider adding speed control to the footswitch. The on/off function is quite sufficient for the spinner who needs to remove VM, etc. Speed is adequately controlled by the dial.

Will you change the letter s and z around so the z is on the right side (because you spin to the right for a z-twist and to the left for s-twist)?
@DreamingRobotsBlog5 жыл бұрын
I have had a few requests for this (I think 3 now). To me the current setup is more intuitive, but I will have a poll later today to see what the community prefers.

@@DreamingRobotsBlog great! I'll check out the Ravelry group for the poll. I'm extremely looking forward to the eew classic, thanks for all the hard work!

so excited for the classic! I love my 5.2 but I would love that one too!

Ambria and I are very interested in purchasing a EEW Classic! Will there be an option on color? Ambria loves brights (so her Nano is purple). I love "boring" so my Nano is black. Vivian Ann on the side of the mountain in northeast Tennessee

I have not decided what to do on colors for this version. I might have the community vote in some polls on this later once the design is finished.

Will you make anymore 5.2 wheels? Do you have a used one for sale? I purchased one and foolishly returned it because I needed spinning lessons first. I regret returning it😩
