I made this for my family on Christmas Eve and it was a huge hit! Thank you so much for a wonderful recipe. They did not even know there was tofu in it until after they had ate it and raved about it. My husband who is a "meat eater" and claims to hate anything with tofu in it had seconds!

PinkPinkyCat You just made me very happy :) Thank you for letting me know that you prepared this dish and enjoyed it so much. I have to say that it is really difficult to taste the tofu in this dish, as the other ingredients cover it almost completely ;)

I just made this. Again, it was awesome. I added Italian seasonings along with nutritional yeast. I didn't use vegan cheese because I really wanted to keep the fat content low so I put black olives on top and added some more sauce and had a little of the nutritional yeast and baked it. Thank you once again this is awesome. You have made being low fat Vegan awesome and absolutely delicious. . Prep time was nothing. I love you guys. Now for dessert I will eat the remaining brownies from last night. Those were awesome too. Oh my God I am so happy. To finally find recipes that I absolutely love and taste like non-vegan is amazing. I don't know if you realize but you were saving lives. These are great recipes for diabetics. Daddy foods and animal products cause diabetes. That's been proven. To be able to eat delicious vegan, non-fat meals that are not only delicious and inexpensive to make but it's healing diabetes? This is amazing. Anyone who is Type 1 and /or Type 2 will benefit immeasurably from these recipes. Thank you , thank you, thank you and thank you some more.

@kuboana87859 жыл бұрын
+The Vegan Corner sorry, just a question: is it not necessary to cut off the water of the tofu? I'm the queen of liquids lasagnes so I'm a little worried about this point haha....
@thevegancorner9 жыл бұрын
+kuboana8785 If you use good quality tofu (and I'm sure you will if you live in Japan), there is no need to remove the water, as you would only make it excessively dry. However, make sure to drain and press the cooked spinach as much as possible, because that's where some excess water could come from. And don't worry, there is no way that this lasagne dish will end up too liquid. Remember that lasagne, should rest for a good 10 to 15 minutes after the cooking process, as this will allow the sauce to thicken, yielding a better and more dense lasagne.
@kuboana87859 жыл бұрын
+The Vegan Corner ok :) thanks for the explanation. ( I buy my tofu in a little tofu shop so it's very fresh , you would love it haha ) I'll try this recipe tomorrow, I will post it. bye :)

My boys loved this!So do I! I think I will experiment with the tomato and olive topping next! I did use a quarter more of everything as I have a 29cm x 23cm dish and it worked well although I am guessing that you guys divide the filling into weighed amounts to get the layers perfect as mine were a little weighted to the second layer. Love the taste I ended up with more Bechamel than I thought but will adjust next time. Thank you again "GREAT people of The Vegan Corner!" Please do keep it up!

i love your recipes so much but i was wondering what brand of vegan cheese u use? i can seem to find one that both tastes good and melts properly
@thevegancorner9 жыл бұрын
+Emma van Dijk I live in the UK so unless you live in the UK as well, I doubt that you will manage to find the same cheese I usually find, which by the way is a vegan cheddar that I buy at TESCO. Thanks for watching

Hahaha i do live in the uk, what brand is it?
@thevegancorner9 жыл бұрын
+Emma van Dijk Wonderful! Then your best bets at the moment are: www.tesco.com/groceries/product/details/?id=271880913 (the one we used in this recipe) www.tesco.com/groceries/product/details/?id=277073874 www.tesco.com/groceries/product/details/?id=277074194 www.mozzarisella.co.uk/ www.violife.gr/#!violife-for-pizza/c11qc The former three are quite remarkable, but the latter two melt heavenly and really taste amazing :)

Can you use frozen spinach instead and skip the cooking part of the fresh spinach?
@thevegancorner10 жыл бұрын
Björg Kristjánsdóttir Sure thing you can! The important thing is to squeeze the spinach properly and then measure the quantity required :) thanks for watching

Can I use normal tofu instead of the silken one???
@thevegancorner9 жыл бұрын
loswuchos You most certainly can, but if it is too hard you might want mash it with some non-dairy milk to obtain a softer final tofu. I hope this helps :) Thanks for watching

can i add some mushroom in this? at what stage would i do that?
@thevegancorner9 жыл бұрын
Tiffany So Sure thing you can. Personally I would thinly slice the mushrooms and cook them separately until they loose all their water. Then I would add them layer by layer, making sure not to add too many of them or the lasagna will end up too thick :) I hope this helps my friend!
@tiffanyso52489 жыл бұрын
oh okay thank you! I will try that when my new oven arrives, YAYY :D

Is there anything i can substitute the miso paste with?
@thevegancorner9 жыл бұрын
+1601Alice There isn't really a good substitute for miso paste, despite soy sauce might work pretty well. However, you can also skip the miso altogether if you can't find it. I hope this helps

What is oat milk? Where can I buy it?
@thevegancorner10 жыл бұрын
It is basically a non-dairy milk made out of oats and water; feel free to substitute it with soy milk or almond milk if you can't find it. Thanks for watching
