Ingredients for Spinach Pie Recipe
For the sponge cake:
4 eggs (yolk and white whisked separately)
1 glass of sugar
1 teacup of oil
1 packet of baking powder
1 packet of vanilla
1 pinch of salt
5 6 leaves of spinach with 1 glass of milk
Let's pull the milk and spinach with the help of a blender until they get a smooth consistency and bring it to a puree consistency. You can also do this with oil.
For the Custard;
1 liter milk
2 tablespoons of starch
2 tablespoons of flour
1 glass of sugar
1 pack of whipped cream
Making the Spinach Cake
For sponge cake, whisk 4 egg yolks and whites in separate bowls.
Whisk the egg yolks and sugar until foamy. Add spinach puree, oil, vanilla, baking powder and continue whisking. Add the flour and mix until it reaches the consistency of cake.
In a separate bowl, whisk the egg whites and a pinch of salt until they have the consistency of whipped cream.
Let's combine it with the spinach cake mortar and mix it slowly without deflating it.
Pour into a greased cake mold or tray. Bake in a preheated 170 degree oven until cooked. If you are using a drum oven, let's put the cake in the oven without preheating the oven.
If you cook it by lowering the temperature, your cake will rise very well.
While the cake is baking, let's prepare the pudding. Let's put all the ingredients except the whipped cream in the pot and cook by mixing. After the first heat comes out, let's whisk it with whipped cream.
After our cake comes out of the oven and the first heat passes, let's wet it with 1 glass of cold milk.
Let's pour the pudding we prepared on it and fix it with the help of a spatula. Let it rest for at least 3 or 4 hours in the refrigerator.
Let's cut into equal slices and serve. You can also decorate the shapes you want. In terms of ideas; You can decorate with crushed hazelnuts, walnuts, coconut.
