This easy to make savoury spinach tart has become one of my family’s favourites, therefore I’m sharing the recipe with you. Everyone can make it, including beginners in baking. To make the spinach tart fast I’m using ready puff pastry. The amount of ingredients for the filling can be easily adjusted depending on your taste and availability of products.
Ingredients for 28x3 cm (11 inches) tart form:
260 g (9.1 oz) puff pastry
400 g (2 cups) defrosted spinach
3 eggs
200 g (0.9 cups) cottage cheese or ricotta
20 g (¼ cup) shredded parmesan or other hard cheese
125 g (1 cup) smoked bacon, cut in cubes
1 medium onion, cut in cubes or slices
80 g (0.9 cup) shredded cheese (I am using Emmental and Gouda)
salt, pepper
⅓ tsp nutmeg
For best results, measure ingredients with a scale. All recipes are made with weighed ingredients using grams. Cup measurements are provided for your convenience.
