This game is my number#1 favorite fighting game 🎮🕹️ And the game still looking flawless after 30 years. 🎉🎉 I've always practice with my guy Glacius combo moves, those were difficult but I managed to get it down pack on my SNES 💯🔥

I remember back in 94 there was a version in the Arcade that it was near impossible to do Jago's wind kick. Must have been an earlier beta or 1.4

I think killer instinct 1 is a nearly flawless game but I must admit spinal seems overpowered to me, to the point where there is an unspoken rule where you don't pick him when playing with friends

They did a great job with it. I don’t think they got the credit they deserved until the online play became a thing. Now we get to see several players at the top of their game going at it. Before it we only saw the local level good players. It was rare to find two really good players going at it on the same machine. But yeah, I do recall spinal being a pain to beat when someone was great with him. I don’t think I’ve reached that level.

Think it was a 32 or 34 I could do with Spinal. You start the BNB combo with 3/4 of health and delay FB MP, HP, which allows another BF MP, HP before the Ultra.

Love this game, just annoyed it was never released for the Play Station, always had to load it on MAME.

This game still looking flawless after 30 years. About the fighting games scene and Latin America. in LATAM we have the KIT (Killer Instinct Tournament) is the main pro competition and always was in the SNES machine/emulation scene. the best player in my country is called Starsex and usually still playing and competing in regional tournaments between Chile, Puerto Rico, Guatemala, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina. he said that prefer the SNES version cuz is faster and wider in playability/gameplay than arcade one, he designed a customized system for combos during 15 years after losing matches in online mode when he started. too much players learned from him. Starsex has an active youtube channel right now. The MK pros and speedrunners usually come from Brazil and Argentina but KI still strong in Chile. in the chrismas of 1995, NIntendo sold too much SNES in Chile with the KI pack and two controllers, the idea was to rent to the local videoclub any Street Fighter 2 Turbo or MK2/3 for the christmas night.. in Chile we open the christmas gifts at twelve; in the night. the family dinner, the gifts and hours to play the SNES back then with brothers and cousins. Good times. Greetings from Chile.

Awesome story!! I love hearing this! I run into some latam streamers once in a while that play KI on ZSNES That's cool that the community is still keeping it alive

Yeah, I lived in Chile for 2 years, exactly when this game, MK2 and 3 were out, they are awesome players there, I learned how to play so well out there, especially in "Juegos Diana", when I came back to the UK nobody could beat me at those 3 games here. LOL Thing is though with the SNES version, you couldn't do the 80 hit+ combo and you couldn't do the 3rd hidden finishing move with Glacius which was a bummer. I eventually downloaded it on MAME and could do it all there.

@@Kypduron1 Really cool. "Juegos y Entretenimientos DIana" still in Santiago Centro until now, near to Paseo Ahumada and Plaza de Armas. but is a much more discrete arcade than the 90s. the arcade culture is almost completely gone. now the people buys full arcade and bartop machines for home between 300-700 USD but are Jamma boards/Pandora Box, Raspberry Pi/Recalbox roms and emulators (is not so expensive but the japanese buttons/stick like Sanwa ones maybe yes), the social gaming culture made by arcades was truly special, in a local shop you had little kids, teenagers and gang guys watching the OG legends to play street fighter 2, mortal kombat 2/3 or killer instinct even with a notebook, writing all the strategies or the MK/SF2 Salo albums. years later came out a little KOF scene but was stronger in Mexico circa 1999-2002. i always remember the figure of the random guy that resembles Kyo Kusanagi in the local arcade from my city, with a cigar in the hand, never was defeated in SF2. even with console and PC gaming scene never was massive. in the best times 15 people watching the MK2 machine, any saturday, 4pm, 1995.
