30 years already, smh. Time definitely flies. Seems like yesterday I was playing this on SNES and listening to the CD soundtrack included with the purchase. Better days, indeed. 👊

Thanks for the super thanks! It's crazy how fast it goes. Kind of scary. I like to remind myself to take advantage of time. My default mindset is to decline opportunities or going to events and stuff. Lately I've been telling my self there's plenty of time to do nothing, might as well go do something while the opportunity is there.

@KillerArcadeGames that's a great mindset, bro.

It was really good when it first hit the Arcades, i can still remember seeing the cabinet for the first back all that time ago. Games were progressing fast back then
@KillerArcadeGamesАй бұрын
The cabinet’s design was really cool. I remember seeing that giant Spinal on the side. The mostly black cabinet was very good looking and different for Midway.

Easily my favorite video game of all time. It really had everything, the music, the graphics, combos/ gameplay. I remember when I was playing with my favorite character Galacius on ultra hard it was so tough but I never gave up I kept trying a couple of times and I finally managed to do it, I had a brief spat and then my mission to become 1uping on the leaderboards. Those were the best of times. I truly miss those days so much.
@KillerArcadeGamesАй бұрын
The leader board battles were fun. It was kind of a silent battle at the arcade, you didn’t always see the person you were trying to beat lol

Thanks for the shout out. You know, I never really thought about Chief's wakeup being 2 hit, allowing a juggle. Nice. Also, never really paid attention to the name on TJ's stage being the lead guy. Of course I know LOBB on Cinders, STAMPER on Fulgore and I forget who's name is on the Castle entrance stage you only play in VS.
@KillerArcadeGamesАй бұрын
I can’t remember whose name is on that stage either. I’m not home or id go check lol
@GlaciusXLАй бұрын
@@KillerArcadeGames It's one of those stages you can't select. Have to get it randomly... or I would have checked too lol

In 2013, my friend randomly introduced KI to me. I had no idea what I was watching, but I enjoyed seeing the long combos.
@KillerArcadeGamesАй бұрын
KI is an impressive game. The new version of the game had 200 hit combos lol. Kind of insane!

Great run man and well done! Honestly I don't have a favorite fighter as I haven't played the game much in the arcade. I mostly played K.I. on SNES back in the day. Once I get my PC modded TMNT 4 player finished. I'll play K.I. and many other arcade games! But I am more of a beat 'em up kind of guy overall. lol
@KillerArcadeGamesАй бұрын
Thanks! Definitely play the arcade version more, it’s miles ahead of the SNES.

@@KillerArcadeGames Not a problem man. Yeah for sure I will when I get around to it. The SNES version was just my first exposure to K.I. lol

Man, I miss those days. The leaderboards were so fun. They really don’t exist in modern arcade games. Kids don’t really play those anyway lol

Hey KAG , I really do enjoy the Gameboy version of Killer Instinct , 😃😄😃👍👍🎃ps- the SNES version severely OVERPOWERED Riptor , making the SNES version almost unplayable , 😕👀😕😕😕

I’ve never tried it! I will have to one of these days. It will have to emulated I don’t have a Gameboy

True. They won’t know the excitement of walking to a new game. Now everyone knows when new games are coming. This one just appeared for me. I never saw the promo materials or previews in magazines.

@@KillerArcadeGames same. What a great time, arriving at the arcade to find a new game, like KI or Wrestlemania, or Primal Rage, Tekken, etc. 😍

Its sad how shit chief thunder is, i like everything about him, design, moves, sounds, ultra, story. He just has literally no unbreakable combos just FHp or standing/crouching hard or medium attack into 1 shitty fireball. He's much better in the snes version and has some game breaking things that are too long to go into, but yeah hes almost like a wasted character slot on the arcade version, makes me sad😢
@KillerArcadeGamesАй бұрын
Oh wow I think he’s pretty fun to play as. I don’t think I’d pick him against a really good human player though.
