@103028130631407259916 I vehemently disagree, but I know a lot of people do think that. I played it for the first time since 2004 in 2010 or 11 (whichever year the HD port came out), and it played exactly as I remember. All the good stuff was still good, all the bad or buggy stuff was still bad or buggy, but outweighed by the good stuff. Never got the complaints with the mech or treasure stages either, the only character I would say who had a majority of bad or meh stages was rouge, everybody else ranged from fantastic to good. Super Mario 64 has a fuck ton of camera issues and movement/momentum wonkery, yet people still hold it up. People just shit because it's sonic, and sonic fans are mad at it for doing different gameplay styles even if they actually play fine.

I prefered Rouge to knux, actually also, while i get the issues with tails (to be fair though, if you're breaking and entering a military complex, waltzing in unarmed is pretty fuckin stupid), Eggman was a blast to play. I wish we had another main series game where he was playable. I feel THAT is what made the story work

Damn watching this now is making me sad. Not really just because they broke up, but just seeing how time has passed and things have changed. Liam, the little yellow tab on EA Genesis carts is basically to stop you from opening the cartridge up. I busted one off of my Road Rash 2 cartridge when I opened it up to get this annoying little rock out, and the game still works perfectly.
