Yes exactly! That's what I noticed with Ozzie's, he was spying on them for this reason too I believe? I love how everything un this series can be an element to understand the characters better. Like Moxxie and Blitzø's bad trips both showed us new sides of the characters, like Mox being afraid if rejection or Blitzø being scared to love people and constantly haunted by what others say, it's actually really interesting because he appears like a tough and self-assured character, and every single detail can be a clue to understand him better

Chaz was also her ex-boyfriend, so she already had grounds to be mad at him. Still, at the beginning of the episode, she chose to take the high road and unleash her anger on a training dummy instead of directly on him. However, once she found out that Chaz had also broke Moxxie's heart and hurt him even worse her, I wasn't surprised by her reaction at all. In fact, I was fully expecting it.

Happy one year anniversary to the one of the best and darkest episodes of Helluva Boss! I love this episode so much! The animation was incredible as always. The flashback of Moxxie's childhood is one of the best moments of visual story-telling that I've seen. Not only is it incredibly dark, but it tells us so much with no dialogue - save for Crimson's line at the end. In that one segment, we understand how horrible Moxxie's childhood was and the kind of villain Crimson is. This is a man that will not forgive any trespass and is not above killing his own family. It also re-contextualizes the first episode, Murder Family, and we understand why Moxxie couldn't bring himself to kill the mother of a happy family (before finding out they were cannibal psychos of course). The juxtaposition from the somber and dark flashback to Crimson sitting in the dining room with colorful "wall ornaments" flopping around can be off-putting to some, but I found the delivery to be pretty funny. There were some complaints that the sudden transition from dark to silly to somber and back to silly is jarring and didn't give us time to process what Moxxie has been through, but I feel that it was a great way for us to get in his head and feel what he's feeling. Just a few hours ago, he was having a normal day at work, and now he's back in his childhood home (which no doubt triggered many unpleasant memories and feelings), was forced to reveal his past to his friends, had to see his ex who abandoned him when he needed him most, THEN he's told that he has to give up the life he built for himself, his freedom, and his wife to MARRY the ex that abandoned him, and if he doesn't his wife will be killed. That's a LOT to go through in just a few hours. No doubt that Moxxie was feeling overwhelmed and everything was moving too fast for him to properly process. Now, one of my favorite things about this episode is the moment Moxxie decides to fight back. We've seen the terror that his monstrous father struck in his heart. He was still cowering under his shadow as an adult. He was isolated, scared, and feeling powerless. But despite being alone and at such a low point, HE made the decision that his life, freedom, and Millie were worth fighting for on his own. No support, comfort, or encouraging words. Moxxie standing up to Crimson is one of the best scenes in the series to date. I can't think of another moment in the show that gave me goosebumps like that! The wedding crasher scene was a bit disappointing. Moxxie really should've had a chance to fight but the rest of the episode is amazing enough to make up for it. But please, please, PLEEEAASE, let the man have his moment! He really deserved to be fighting along side Millie. I also loved how the episode ended on a dark and ominous note. We see what happened to Chaz, reinforcing just how violent and cruel Crimson is, then we see him whip around and fling a dagger into young Moxxie's forehead in the portrait; a clear message that Crimson is going to come after him for revenge. I really hope we see Crimson one more time before season 2 is over. Seeing him again in Oops was nice, but I can't wait to see what will happen when he and Moxxie meet again. Thanks again, Spindlehorse crew, for such an amazing episode!

None of the female characters save for Octavia really have that many layers- at least in comparison to the guys in terms of focus- and all she really seems to do is highlight the strengths/weaknesses that separate Moxxie from other imps. We’ve had an episode where we meet her parents, and Chaz was literally introduced in this episode as her ex. You’d think she would get more focus here, and both episodes ended up being all about Moxxie. I like Moxxie. But the bait and switch is low key irritating and I thought that maybe we’d see more about why Millie joined I.M.P and maybe some of her own insecurities about her job now that Blitz and Stolas’s relationship is more strained (though idk if that’s even a playing factor given the last episode). Between the small conversation about ‘free lance’ in The Harvest Moon Festival and how upset she was about Chaz supposedly making a lot of money, I thought maybe we would have seen why she cares to take this job specifically. Hell, they could have even made another M and M conflict, but just put it in her perspective to show what specifically she values in Moxxie that she doesn’t have in herself, or any insecurities about the relationship she has on her end. Maybe about it being rushed, since they seemed to get married without the approval of either of their parents, or not feeling like she understands some of his less exciting hobbies as much as she wants to without putting the focus on him. Preferably though, she should just have an episode with her and Blitz or some other character, or one by herself. I liked this episode on its own, but minus the action scenes, Millie just wasn’t the highlight for me.

Chaz also dated and dumped her, so she already had every right to be mad at him. Despite that, at the beginning of the episode, she chose to take the high road and unleash her anger on a training dummy instead of on him, which was commendable. I certainly wasn't surprised when she finally lost it after hearing that Chaz also hurt Moxxie even worse than he hurt her. I was expecting that to push her over the edge.
