As someone that has known Luke my whole life, and Travis being one my closest mates for 20 years. Just wanna say thank you to you lads. As you know Luke is genuinely one the best blokes, and was the same before his accident. But you guys have changed his life, I feel more so than the accident himself. I think the time spent with you guys and being on the show, really reinforced that the path of choosing to help and inspire others, was the right one. watched this a 2nd time after watching it a year back, and it still hits the same way it did back then. luke is genuinely one of the most down to earth blokes you could find, hes that mate you would want in your life till the end. seems extremely trust worthy and as if he'd always be willing to help a mate out with anything at anytime. blokes like luke are what give australia as a whole a good reputation. when luke gets emotional talking about his story its extremely hard to not wanna tear up over it for him. he absolutely deserved this trip, and more if anything.

Luke me broke me into tears. Six weeks ago I had same kind accident and ended up for 3 weeks in Hospital and broke my forehead in three places, my nose and got metal rods in the skull. I can feel you brother. As someone who's had a serious longboarding accident, I feel the pain. When he described his story I can't even begin to describe the pain I felt for him. I fell in the Rockies, got too confident and couldn't bail or I'd get severely hurt and probably hurt someone else, but I hit a patch of gravel and that decided my fate for me. Luckily, unlike Luke, I didn't suffer such a severe injury. I mangled my leg and arm and couldn't walk or do much for a few weeks. But to be out like that.....I couldn't imagine.... I'm so happy I found Yes Theory. The channel has changed my outlook on life since I started watching. What you guys do, the stories you tell and show is inspiring and the best work I've ever seen. I'm sure Luke feels the same, and the confidence the channel gives me I'm sure it gives him and the other 10+ million people.

I live in Switzerland. When I was a child my father went to prison and my mother lost at the same time everything she was going to build, stolen by her own sister. Since that day she has been depressed, I grew up alone with her, without the help of a father and earning the minimum subsistence. She has worked very hard all her life despite her depression so that I have a decent childhood, but we never went on holiday, I am 19 years old and I have never flown, never seen the sea and I would so much like to be able to realize this dream of going with her and seeing her happy as she was before all this. So here we are, if it's possible to take a chance, I'd like to see the sea with her in Australia. Thank you for everything, you probably know this, but your videos help many people, who are, like me, in similar or much worse situations, to get out of it.

Hey I am Faysal I am from Lebanon and I have always dreamt of going to America. I don't travel often but recently I got to go Belgium but it was not fun since I was stuck with my family(not that I don't love my family it is just that we don't share the sime interests) for a weddingthe whole time there and so I couldn't go all by myself and discover an other cultur. I want to go to America because I love speaking english and all my friends and my family speak mostly french or arabic I just want to try something new have fun and meet new people Also my friend is going to be in California(long beach) and it would be cool if I could be there have a good time and see my friend for a bit. I mentioned him because he is going for the summer but he might stay in America for more than that so it would be awesome to surprise him. I am 16 btw and I see myself kind of mature(more than the average at my age) not in an egocentric way. I won't be able to travel before Wednesday. Btw I love you guys and what you do and I wish I could do what you do in your videos but in my contry almost everyone speaks only arabic and I don't speak arabic well(I know it is weird but that is just because I got a french education at school and a french/english education at home. Thanks for giving the oppurtunity to people to do things they love it is awesome.

I cried when Luke said goodbye. He literally had to go through his family coming to say goodbye to him cause he was likely to die. Watching his eyes when he gave that one last hug looked liked he felt all of that again. Goodbye is hard and you truly dont know when the last time you see someone is. Especially with such an impact. He truly knows the bond two should can have.

This video means everything to me! My brother suffered a TBI 6 years ago this month. Almost identical injuries as Luke. It’s inspiring to see him living a life as he is. My brother was supposed to be brain dead too, or paralyzed, or in a vegetative state of body. But similar to Luke, he’s alive and living. It’s encouraging to see others living a life after a TBI because you don’t see it often, but it does make you more grateful for their life!

Luke, your story is incredible, I have a very similar one. Three days before the start of eighth grade I fell off of a skateboard and broke my skull cutting my brain causing a subderal hematoma, it started to clog my brain stem, which would stop my heart from receiving blood, I had an emergency surgery, a plate and 7 screw to put my skull back together and almost 2 years of recovery. Hearing your story makes me realize how lucky I was. Bless you mate.
