thanks mate! It's been a long while since I put these up, I'm glad they're still useful

Movements in this series are similar to ground work in Systema, minus the martial arts application. For example, one cue in Systema is to hold an imaginary gun while rolling, rather than pointing. This amounts to essentially the same movement pattern. For more on Systema's ground work, I highly recommend Kevin Secours' instructional videos on youtube.

Indeed! I get plenty of inspiration from Systema people. Kevin Secours moves very well and seems like an excellent teacher. I'm all for martial applications, but am always looking for "movement fundamentals" which apply to everything from martial arts to dance or sports to just getting up and down off the floor.

AncestralMovement Yes, I'm with you on that. I look for movement fundamentals, too. From this foundation, I then focus on moving more gracefully with transitions and fluidity.

***** right on. Smooth transitions, silent movement, completely relaxed breathing, then add speed, lightness, resistance, unpredictability, obstacles and different environments, partner work.
