So I decided to make another. It is not as specific as I had intended for it to be but that's what you get when you don't take notes and things are unscripted. Nevertheless, I feel like I covered a few important areas and will have a bit more of a think about what else I can add to this conversation.

I’m a baby witch and I know that bb witches aren’t supposed to WORK with deities but I’m just so drawn to them, Especially Dionysus and hades I’ve learned grounding, cleansing, how to cast and close a circle, protection, and asking my pendulum questions. (Plus alot more) I’ve done pages and pages of research on both of my (desired) deities and atm I have a Dionysus altar. I’m going to try and contact him and ask if he wants to work with me, Wish me luck!

When I first contacted my ancestors and told them to help me and bring back my power not that magical one but a power inside of me then they heard me and I feel they just waited for this right time and they knew this will come and then they came out to listen with deities as a gift. 😅

Hi Avalon, I’ve been working a lot with Hestia (perfect for a homebody cancerian like me!) although she was one of the 12 Olympians age gave up her throne to Dionysus so she could tend the hearth fire so there aren’t many myths associated with her or much information about her correspondence. I do however have a kitchen altar set up for her where she is offered the first of any sacrifice (ie the first bite of any meal) especially if it is pork as domestic pigs were her sacred animal and libations of wine

Boo💖 I just found this channel I'm a hereditary/elemental witch from a very old royal latin family it was said that my ansestors was a royal knight and he fell in love with the king's daughter in the 1400's and then the children of them have gotten into witchcraft and all types at the matter , they decided to split apart all of them and continue their bloodline it was said at the time they were very powerful and so I decided to get into my ansestors work and your channel so far is very informative and I'm so nervous to work with deitys and my partner doesn't believe in my practices he thinks it's just a hobby but I don't care I'm so excited to work with deitys and my ansestors

" deep sigh, " in short, .. Look up the history of water elementals. " snake/ fish tail creatures." Snakes/ vipers seem to have all around tactical awareness despite being blind, and one bite can kill you. Some stories Medusa has a snake tail as a lower body, other stories she doesn't. Hollywood movies give her a snake tail cause it looks real cool on scene. Snakes come up from underground/ Under World. She spits venom and her hair kills with a nip. Death bringer. Her glaze turns on lookers to stone, = dried out bodies found in salt caves or in mid summer with out rain for a few weeks. Face looks like a bloated water corpse. Medusa could have been view as a death deity. Few questions I like throwing out on people regarding Medusa in her multiple origins myths. 1.) After Poseidon r@pe her or had mad passionate " cough " in Athena temple, was she pregnant ? 2.) Since snakes have multiple young did she birth or laid a clutch of eggs that hatch a bunch of snake like monstrous young ? 3.) The Gorgons were the Three Sister, one which being Medusa, Medusa was cursed with a snake like lower body, but her two sisters were given wings. Did Poseidon have a four some ? In ancient times an animal had special abilities and meaning, .. so how meaning means did a snake have to the ancient Greeks ? 4.) Ancient hero kings of the Greeks were bronze age head hunters that took what they wanted and sold off rival villages as slaves, and they worship their gods as such, they were not hippies fluffy bunnies. 5.) If you were not strong enough to resist, you got what you got. It was a Ol' Boys club. a.) Did Athena punish Medusa cause she will fully went for Poseidon's charm ? b.) Medusa wanted revenge for being assaulted, so Athena empower her to bring her revenge to all men ? c.) " cough, cough, " You said you Love ME ! .. You said you wanted me to be the Mother of ALL Your ChildreN ! .. And now you are dumping ME ! ... YOU .. B@ST@RD ! Part Two: Mythical Elemental arch types. I been playing Dungeons & Dragons ( D&D ) as a teenager since the early 1990's. And there is a race of female monsters called Medusa that breeds with humans and most of the time only the baby girls don't get turn to stone by their mothers. So my playing groups over the years work with different sub sects of breeds regarding them. a.) Greek classic monster, snake hair water zombie fang mouth beast with snake tail for lower body. Cover in snake skin ( mother of monsters, curse by Athena) ai.) This one has twin set of like a dragon fly, along with a more armor ell like body for faster sea movement. Curse empower by the blood of a sea god. b.) Advance " AD&D2nd edition " Medusa just had an unpleasant face, snakes for hair but a normal human skin body with really great curves to put men off guard to kill them with poison. If they turn someone or creature to stone, that given person body equipment was turn to stone also. So they prefer to just rob or poison people if they can. They mostly work as stone statue .. art dealers. c.) Early 2000's a snake natural armor skin became Medusa creatures' official appearance. d.) Sea snake mermaid like monster mostly female dominate in gender. e.) Reptilian skin, snake hair wing fling female monsters. f.) Reptilian zombie, " nothing sci fantasy sexy about them, monsters ... So we have six different breeds coming from six different children from Medusa & Poseidon. Land. Sea Air Under World, caverns . Also know as, .." Saul .." I came up with Saul when I was studying Greek mythology back in the 5th grade, I got paddle in Sunday school over that joke. Farther more, anyone can argue over what .. skills .. Medusa was said to have when she worshiped in Athena's temple. When she was .. human. Without bring up that the Gorgon snake monster came from pre Olympian gods, where the proto Greeks and took over the villages of the Titan worshipers. So they took an older myth and created a new one to fit their current culture. Then you got the Ancient Alien reptilian space travelers, one way or another or not them being (astral being/ Buddha) from humanoids that evolved on a world with higher solar radiation causing them to grow scale leather for skin covering instead of losing their body hair to sweat better or from skin rubbing up against raw hide pelts to stay warm in the Ethiopia highlands. " masters of genetic and spiritual engineering." In final, Medusa is a morality tale, with many secret meanings. a.) human priestess, those who are idealist fluffy bunnies hippies. ( yes I am being a jerk about this.) b.) Medusa as a monster, creature of revenge killing foolish prideful men seeks renown of glory. ( abuse battery women pray to her for endurance and that the people who wrong them will freeze up in the moment when they really should be standing some where else. .. Deer in the head lights ?) c.) Those who identify as a monster cause they also feel rejected and alone, or just want to be an elemental force of nature. Part Three: Summoning Medusa, .. 1.) As she was as a human. Magic circle or not, make home made bread, family members have the best talks when making a meal, also there is the phrase .. breaking bread. Medusa was or still is a priestess of Athena, depends on who you ask. Ask Medusa for help writing and studying in Greek, along with any other arts & crafts. 2.) Calling Medusa in her monstrous form, magic circle or not, it is all about your intent. As for the circle of summoning/ training, sooner or later any avatar of Medusa or her .. children .. Will .. break the circle. Expect to start seeing shadow like snakes moving through your home at night when the lights are dim or off with only street lights shining in through the windows. They love to giggle and play pranks, along with getting bored and leave for a few weeks at a time, then come back for visits. To call the snake spirit and practice water elemental movement of shape changing. Wrap a sheet around your waist and both your legs together down to your feet, then roll around and practice coiling like a snake. It causes enough ripples out into the astral they show up just to see who is doing what. Skills, archery .. in myth she kills with a bow. Martial arts Shaolin wushu snake style boxing. I recently discoverd that the Norse Goddess Freya is one of my Spirit Guides, so I find this video very helpful. I am Swedish, so I learned about the Norse Mythology from a very young age, but I´m very new to actually go back to my headen/viking roots and to actually work with Dieties. But luckily Freya isn´t the most complicated Goddess out there.

I did a guided meditation after getting signs for a while, and saw Poseidon when I did it. I did it again a few days later, because I didn't know how else to communicate, but then saw Aphrodite. I made little altar things for each of them... I don't ask for... Anything? Actually? Not that I know of. My "regular practice," I'd say it's daily, but I'm still getting used to it, uh, anyways, I light candles, I have one for each of them? So, I do that, and then I put down an offering, or just, like, whatever I do that day, but the one thing that's consistent is that I always say, "Thank you for being here and thank you for caring." I don't mean it to be disrespectful, but, it's that a lot of people I know in real life haven't been there and couldn't care less about me, so in my mind, it meant a lot. I'm doing my best, and hopefully all goes well. 🙃

My fox diety and I are finally in a relationship now. Gosh she's been letting me know about her presence for years but only recently have i entertained her as part of my spirit guide. I gre up catholic so this is 360 from what i knew growing up. She appeared to me out of nowhere and this time i feel so much attraction that has grown to a real loving feeling. She guided me to make her an altar, buy her offerings, and to seek your video! Its not one sided love from her as well she doesnt just want to be worshiped but also help me in my ascension. So much energy and journey ahead of us im full with love for my diety and i feel hers for me too. Theres so many fox cultyres but the fox that is guiding me is from thailand and its sooooo crazy that my mom was in thailand when she was carrying me. She was with me from the start.

I know I'm a little late to the party here, but thank so much for sharing. Some of us who have been longtime practitioners need to hear these things every now and then. Even though we might know and understand it, it's just nice to be reminded every once in a while. Lovely video, thank you for posting it. I particularly like the philosophy of "Wing it. Approach, declare your interest, and see what happens," which I think probably applies to most deities whose worship hasn't been maintained in an unbroken line across the centuries. Even those deities whose mythos spans several ancient sources are rarely described in the level of detail that gives you more than a rough jumping off point for how to reach out to them, nor do they typically make clear what practices were associated with cult (rather than passing, everyday) worship. Modern consensus is no less prone to these sorts of biases either, and I've come to personally believe that one of the most shaky assumptions we make is that by using the same deity's name we're necessarily reaching the same entity. My experiences with the deities I've worked with have never aligned perfectly with popular consensus about their character or modus operandi. But then, that probably true of every person I've met, too; we reach and get to know aspects of individuals in an uneven manner, and the faces we wear change depending on who we're talking to and spending time with.

Absolutely! The subject of Deity is indeed broad and intricate details seldom shared for they are considered “treasures”. Associated cultural practices that time has obscured can (and oftentimes) are the catalyst for rather dubious assumptions. And the subject of name, is without a doubt a whole entire subject to explore. In Yoruba Yemanja is many, you don’t say Yemanja to call on specific deity but an entire group. The same applies with 3 and 9 fold Deity. And yet, when the 3 fold Goddess is spoken of, it’s taken literally rather then as concept demonstrative, of a much more complex arrangement. It’s a great topic to ponder.

'Wing it'. Lol! You're not wrong at all! I first connected interactively with a deity from a more 'modern' pantheon that I never thought I had any interest in. Then I realised that was only his current face. I've spent the last four or five years learning about the deity, the spirit he was before then. Before he evolved with time and continued to travel with his people. And he keeps aiming me at a time long before written language. Which makes it a total pain in the ass to actually find out more about him. At his point it's almost all spirit led, but the ancient connectedness you talked about is really true. It pings across multiple cultures and times and continents. It's really fascinating, if frustrating. Loved this video!

I've been working on building a relationship with Brigid, I have an alter set up, and have been giving offerings. through divination I've being told I need to set boundaries and do some shadow work. Commenting as I watch :) 100% agree, I often akin it to a family member but I agree. I do gratitude daily to them, and if I have done a few smoke-scrolls, I will end that period by doing a smoke-scroll just for the spirits. I appreciate that you informed people to do their research. I often see people hearing about an aspect (one aspect) of a deity, and they put the statues up and go... without knowing their origin stories. I believe this is SOOO important. ... love it, keys to establish your temple.... lovely.... nice... personalizing practices... I have a few videos called 'going off book' to encourage letting spirit guide you more than a book. They are great to start, but they are one persons journey, make it your own. Blood is so powerful, I purchase diabetic lances from the drugstore which work perfect for blood offerings.... That's a deep spiritual challenge, that you can't eat fish, but work with a sea Deity... it almost makes the relationship deeper as you have to find unique ways to work around this... wow...Have you ever been drawn to or called to work with a Deity along side Yemanja... I am really grateful when you share your spirit journey. There are few channels I can relate to with respect to how I do spiritual workings. I first found you in 2014 and left you huge and many comments like this, but I think I scared you with my intensity, sorry lol... Spirituality is a passion. it is my life. xo

And yes, I work with more Orisha as that is a common Umbanda practice. It’s a beautiful practice to work with Deity and your video series about “going off book” is an important contribution. Deities are not recommended for beginners. Deity worship however is beginner's work.. But Deity WORK isn't. Learn verification, is this the deity thats there with you?

There is not a huge amount of information on her, and there's also misinformation where people have embroidered truth a little or lumped her together with another Goddess, so I've been led mainly by her through it all which has been mind blowing and I feel so honoured. I had so many signs but it took me a while to realise - one of those moments where I realised the goddess calling me was one I would have chosen above all. It's letting my true self come forward in a way I've not allowed fully before and it gives some previous actions and experiences sudden illuminating meaning. I have recently had very powerful dreams after calling out to Nyx. I have always felt drawn to her. I feel she drifted away, though, and was a bit upset and uninterested since as a baby witch I made quite a few mistakes. I haven’t quite yet found my matron or patron deity, I’m quite green with my spiritual journey and very much just going with the flow with it. when it comes to deity I feel as though I’m standing in an intersection wondering which way I should go and which one I should work with. I think in my childhood I had a huge interest in Isis but now as an adult I’m more drawn tawards Anubis, however I’m interested in exploring other pantheons. Xo

So I’m a new beginner, and I was wondering, due to my tia and tio who are strictly Christian and against this practice I have to do this secret. How can I create a altar for my deity and give offerings in secret. If my family were to find out they will destroy the altar and throw out the offerings I give.

You could create a Christian inspired devotional space. Look into religious and spiritual Syncretism. For example, a statue of Saint Barbara is viewed in other parts of the world as a statue of Iansãn. A white candle 🕯 is relatively harmless and frankincense incense is considered holy but also, deeply clearing and spiritual. Frankincense and Myrrh is used in witchcraft and in spirit work as well as in religious practices. Basically, you bend your altar around your opposition. Just like water moves around a stone.

In Europe, pagans worship through the statues of Catholic saints, in Japan the Christians their offer prayers to Marry through their goddess of Mercy statues.

I've been drawn to Lucifer for quite a while (and there's a part of me which believes that if he's watching me, he already knows what I'm gonna write😂😅) and understanding that his is a more ancient/primordial intense energy, I have not started working yet because it's only been an year since I started. You can look at his angelic aspects and the fall. There is s lot to be said about free will in both of those stories. If you want to make peace with the devil side of things, look to traditional witchcraft of the Cornish varieties and research the Bucca and Bucca du.

I am 43 years old, when I was 16, I wrote an eight page essay on the Seven Virtues & Sin Deadly Sins an my relation and view regarding them, along with seven ranking for each virtue and vice/ sin.( I write very small.) I took the essay to all the local churches in my area, they told me just to pray to Jesus. I took my essay to the only local Jewish synagogue, and after they pass around my essay and ask me questions for about thirty minutes, they interduce to me the Lesser Keys of Solomon. Christian aspect, angel/ virtue, and demon/ sin=vice. Ancient Greek - damonia or whatever is more or less regarded as a minor saint/ angel of a given craft/skill. Find a .. real .. hobby, then search which god/ spirit matches your hobby. Also skip praying like a Christian, just talk to the spirits like an old friend or sibling, and the gods like elder family members that are real cool to hang out with. Good luck, and G*D bless.

If you don't want to deal with the upkeep/ well being of maintaining salt water fish, just keep a cake pan partly filled with salt water with some sea shells you can buy online. Any toy or ceramic shell fish/ crabs to build up a theme to a water/sea spirit/ deity. Also get one of those small table top water fountains that can be found at a dollar discount store to keep the water flowing and adds sound to the room. You could base on location put something together for under $50. In a way you can hide an alter in plain sight. Have a good upcoming weekend, good luck, and G*D bless.

Beginner here too. I think you just research different pantheons and choose which one feels right. If you can't decide, maybe choosing the pantheon of the country you are in or the pantheon closest to your country.

I recommend doing a little little ancestral research on my your mother and fathers side. If you are adopted then the again, mother and fathers side. Where do they come from, what is the folk lore, legends myths of those geographical locations. Eventually, something will hook you and away you go.

I have a question. I had this dream but before that I thought of Persephone however in my dream there were pink peony flowers (which I recently found out that they're from Greece and I didn't know the name nor knew where they were from) and fauns on the altar I made for Persephone and for some strange reason I was making a faun that was going to be part deer for her ( and I didn't know that she likes deer) and I had this peace like I do most of the time when I think about her. Plus when I meditated about new experiences her name kept popping into my mind. Could it be a trickster spirit b/c I did encounter a trickster spirit pretending to be Persephone. I'm still interested in working with her. Is she interested in working with me? The reason I ask b/c I don't have a pendulum nor any cleansing tools.
