Alright. As an avid metal head for years, I can see what's happening here and I want to recommend the next logical step. Check out Lingus by Snarky Puppy. It's a longer song, around 8 and a half minutes. Fusion Jazz (I know what you're thinking, trust me, it's metal, for when you're tired of metal),& Instrumental. The keyboard solo is genuinely absurd, one of the only pieces of music to ever make me cry just from the emotion poured into it. The entire album is written and arranged by the bassist, it was recorded over 3 days, and the drummer was only there for the last day. He was a fill in and learned the entire album on his 7 hour flight to the studio. It is genuinely one of the most absurdly just good in every meaning of the word pieces of music I've ever heard, from some insanely talented musicians.
