This guys riffs are the reason I decided to pick up a guitar after almost 20 years.

The guitar community could learn from this man. This isn’t him miming over the studio version. My man recorded a live take, even if this isn’t the actual take. Mad respect to Mike for this.

Mike, Aaron Marshall (Intervals) and Mateus Asato are something beyond .. way beyond The feeling, emotion and meaning that they put into the instrument is beautiful I know people will say about the guys of polyphia , periphery, abasi, kiko Loureiro etc yes they are I N S A N E But these 3 gentlemen are something else

It never occurred to me before listening to this play through with the guitar standing out...but the chorus of this song gives me major Cries of the Past Underoath vibes. You're a GOAT, Mike. And Riffhard is the best thing that's ever happened to my (mediocre) guitar playing.

This dude is so unique...pitch shifts and bends entire chords in the middle of songs, plays CHUGGING heavy shit with pickslides/harmonics and squals, then soft smooth backing choruses, roll on/roll off atmospherics with his volume knob, mathcore/edm bridge sounds in other songs, and just plain fun metal and melodic rock all in 1 song. Plus is an insane lead player and able to do those crazy Verse lines in this song that sound like slap bass but way faster

Love the fact it's an 8 string tuning on a 7. One of my favorite riffs from Mike.

The hardest part of any Spiritbox tune is getting a stable enough guitar to hold their tuning.

That and a set up that has 0 feet buzz at that low of a tuning

Within the ruins bro XD drop A#, i believe they use a 105 string. That's the same thickness as a E string on a bass
@Eyeyamgod2 жыл бұрын
It really isn't that hard. Step one get a decent quality 7 string guitar with 27 inch neck or higher. Step 2 he uses daddario 8 string set 74 gauge. Step 3 profit.

With that tuning it is really difficult to distinguish the change of notes. I literally see this guy move his hand but sometimes I don't see a change in tone o.O. perhps i really love Sipiritbox.
