One of the things that always impresses me with your playing is your volume control. I absolutely do not have that muscle memory built in and it's super satisfying to hear you pull off those swells live

starting at 2:10 you can see him compulsively making sure volume is all the way up. That knob is a key piece to his playing for sure.

Honestly have to say, I am an electronic fan. Mostly Drum and Bass, haven’t heard an entire metal album all the way through since Meshuggah’s Chaosphere. Way back when. I came across ‘Hurt You’ a couple days ago and decided to give the rest of the album a listen… I haven’t heard a band with as much range, uniquely beautiful sounds or lead vocals as I have with you guys. Mike, I keep coming back to the 3:25 riff over and over. In the full song, it takes second chair to Courtney's vocals-deservedly so-but holy shit is it musical perfection. I've sent this playthrough to so many people just because of that riff. Every time the end of the song unleashes, I smile because of your guitar part. Good shit!

I didn't fully appreciate the guitar parts of this song until I watched you play through them. I like how you set the groove, but vary things from there. The contrast between heavy, down-tuned rhythm and The Edge style echoed cleaner parts works so well. This is great guitar work sneaking in under Courtney's voice and those big drums.
