Pray that you will start to lose interest into these temporarily worldly nonsenses. It happens little by little, the spiritual hunger the want to become a new self. I've dropped everything for what I had a passion for, music, sports etc. They simply don't inspire anymore. My kids and the want to know God just as myself for what God created me for the situation of my life are all what matters anymore. Getting into the nature into silence is a great remedy to start to listen that inner voice inside of you. That voice wants to drop the goals of the lower will.

Important sermon! I want to share a personal experience I had on the crossroads to show how the devil can take advantage of your pride and be very deceiving. Long story short, I met an old woman who told me that God had told her that she was supposed to meet someone that day. We stood in the middle of a three-way crossroads with the fourth way being an old stone gate leading to a big garden. She said that God had big plans for me since she could see me in a suit in the future and managing the world’s economy. Someone broken and humble was needed to have that responsibility according to God’s plan. It had something to do with bitcoin. She was joyous when she learned that I had read the Bible because then she knew I was the one she was suppose to meet. She said I should pour Jesus’ blood over me daily and take the eucharist at home since the church is often run by Satan and is going down anyway. She asked me to pray with her and close my eyes. Suddenly I felt like a thick fluid was covering me from head to toe and felt very pecuilar. She told me I was all red. The sorroundings were viberating and I felt high. Her promise was that God would talk directly to me and I would be able to heal and prophesy like an old testament prophet. She even said I was saved. When I went home I prayed for discernment in a small room. Suddenly I heard two knocks on the door. I opened and no one was there. I closed and I heard two knocks again. I thought of the passage of opening the door to Jesus when he knocks. Up on the terrace I felt like I had taken some drug. My girlfriend came out and noticed I was shining with some strange light. I told her everything and her first response was; ”I’m not sure where she was sent from” since we have been haunted by darkness before. Then the synchronisities started. I kept getting e-mails from a crypto-forum asking me ”Are you in?” and ”Are you in yet?”. Multiple messages that wasn’t the ordinary junk mail. The forum was about which coins to invest in to get rich. A rare chance. I was shattered. I wouldn’t dare to deny the instructions if they were from God but I wouldn’t want to be deceived either. I set up the websides and the apps to get ready for the forum. I partook in communion by myself each morning. One night I felt imminse love for everyone and like my heart was shining. It was like I could sense Jesus’ love and I felt stronger than usual too. Then again I felt disconnected from the divine in my forehead where new-age people would locate the third eye and didn’t feel as myself. My girlfriend called a christian who have helped us cleansing dark spirits before. He said it was darkest of darkness he had seen. He wasn’t even sure it was a human I met considering it was so dark. After that I stopped my crypto-plans and my rituals. It felt strange but also freeing. We took a walk and saw a strange number of cars with 666 on the license plate. The next days I felt doomed and attacked from everywhere. I saw a white owl and some days later it attacked me from behind. I later read the owl was called ”demon owl”. I looked up what the coins would have invested in and saw that some of them went to AI-surveillance to the coming anti-christian technocracy. The experience puzzled me, but after some years pondering and lot of reading, especially St John the cross, helped me to understand how cunning Satan can be. The evil one can be seen as changing your ship’s course little enough to make you end up at completely different location, far from God and filled with pride. It’s good time to be attentive.

We will wrestle with sin until the day we die. I remember a priest giving a talk one day and told us of an old lady who asked him, at what age will she stop having impure thoughts, to which the priest replied "about 10 minutes after they pat the shovel down over your grave" He wasn't trying to be funny or flippant but was pointing out that our fight with sin is an ongoing and dynamic reality in our life. We fall we pick ourselves up again and keep on going.

@Rochelle Perry Dear friend, look not for feelings or experiences. They are most often deceptions. I too had experiences and great elation that I felt was from the Holy Spirit when I was seeking God years ago before becoming Orthoodx. But now I have learned that the enemy can so easily deceive us with thoughts, emotions and even wondrous things such as visions and more. Pay no mind to these things. Instead, focus on seeking humility with a sober mind. Say to yourself, who am that I should be worthy of such a gift of grace. I am full of sin and filth. Lord have mercy on me! Seek the Lord through His church and through repentance. Confess your sins and partake of the sacraments. We understand nothing. We know not what we do. Our only hope is in Christ who is right there waiting at all times to receive us. If you have fallen, get up! If you fall a hundred times, get up! Remember the tax collector! He was justified to God!

It's reassuring to think of you and many men like you and your sincere attempts to follow Christ. I'm dumbfounded... Again. I keep learning new things from Christ and it's exactly what I needed. I remember about 3 years ago, I sat at my computer and tried to type out an idea, which was basically that doing anything you want isn't freedom. I couldn't complete it. It was a new thought and I didn't understand enough and I just couldn't grasp the idea and articulate it. But... Jesus said "sin enslaves you" and "the truth sets you free." It's a koan... A deep truth unfolds when you put them together. The weight of sin oppresses the world. I get it. And sin is basically short term thinking, failing to see past the trap and failing to be how you need to be to be happy, and you get stuck in a repeating pattern of behavior that holds you down. I didn't understand it before... I get it! Gosh, now it seems silly that it ever wasn't obvious...

He has helped me to overcome SO much, but I am finding it very hard currently being patient towards the prospect of finding the correct women for me, so much so that I fell recently back into porn and masturbation after abstaining for over 3 years!
