🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Dear Marianne Williamson, I am THRILLED that you posted this. I was unable to travel to Manhattan on the date of the lecture, but as I tuned in to the live stream, I considered trying to get a train in from Long Island. I rewatched the live steam as many times as I could to absorb all of your points. This was not because I am unfamiliar them, but to soak in the thorough and concise formulation of your message. Thank you for relating racism as not just a moral issue but as an economic one as well! The foundation of racism in America has always been capitalism. I cannot tell you how significant it is that you broached this subject. Not because it has not been talked about, but because to my knowledge and in my experience, very rarely or successfully by white people to white people. When we, Black people bring up the subject, we are often, as you alluded, gaslighted by members of the dominant culture, and our experiences diminished. What you did was bold, not for Black people's sake, but to focus the attention of white people who do not seem to register racism as a relevant issue, or one of their concern.
