Another pattern I noticed quite a lot of the past two years is the spiritual ignorant or spiritual hypocrite. People following a spiritual path, sharing the teachings of a spiritual being like Buddha...the middle path, you are your own master, you are 100% responsible for you etc, when faced with adversity completely abandoned the teachings to follow unenlightened people/organizations, and implemented policies that caused harm and division. They allowed fear to dictate their lives, and instead of taking responsibility for it used emotional manipulation to make everyone else conform. It definitely opened my eyes to the myriad of false prophets out there and that the only true guidance comes from within. Also, not to judge as we are all waking up from this illusion. Thanks Richard for a great video.

I recognize in myself a spiritual escapist, traveller. Beautiful Intention: To go down and in❤ To be here fully. To really own it. All of the human experience. Bringing and inviting the spirit down and in. Embodied, experienced. "Enlightment is not in front of you. If you slow down, maybe it ll catch you up." 🙏✨

So I‘m not a native English speaker, had to listen twice to this brilliant list, laughing loud finding me in several descriptions and try not to stick on it. While listening second time, looked at a beautiful blossoming wild plum tree at forests border, where I actually live. The sunny side of this tree is overboarding with beautiful blossoms and the shadowy side seems to have only rare blossoms, but, they seem to shine brighter, cause of their rareness in plum trees backyard, than the bunch of blossoms on sunny side… reminds me, picking out the pieces, does not mean to see the whole beauty of this tiny beautiful blossoming tree in his surrounding, stretching to the sunny garden site and being part of the forest itself… While listening to your list this second time I realized the beauty of this tree and my heart grows to it. Aren’t we living in a beautiful world? Just got a glimpse of being part of this beauty. Thank you dear Richard for your mindful and heartful guidance. And for your sense of humour, love, MaryAnn

Dear Richard, #negative reviews: I often read them first & only 😁 here's why: 1) where I surf, they are fewer negative than positive ones -> already says something and less to read 2) bad reviews are often extensively written, describing in minute detail - now comes the decisive point - aspects I regard as completely irrelevant!! It is amazing what aspects people find worth commenting... So negative reviews for me often are one reason more to buy a product/go somewhere/do something!

I find this sharing to be most refreshing! I recognize many of these examples within me as I travel my path and hearing You (Richard) talking about them has brought new meaning to the words allow, accept, and embrace. In 2020 I got “there’s an element of truth in everything I hear” and it’s changed my listening of others. I am grateful for your sharing and example of being the GK principles in action.

I don't do this in general, but when I'm with people I don't know to do something like take a course I'm interested in, my social ego immediately assesses and decides who it thinks already knows more than I do and who I already know more than. After that, my spiritual ego kicks in and chastises me for being judgmental and I feel the negativity of both low frequency responses in my body which inspires me to learn how to be freer of them. Recently then, I realized that if I consciously accept the 'need' in me to still use an ego strategy when it’s triggered, without agreeing or disagreeing with 'why' the strategy is believed needed, then the part of me relying on it to feel accepted and safe in the world feels loved and safe with me. That hadn't been true for a very long time, and being divided in myself for most of my life is what kept my younger selves' sense of not being safe and not belonging anywhere in the world so active in me. So now, I'm finally becoming the Home I've always longed for in which all of my more and less shadowed selves are unconditionally loved and supported. And in turn, they've been moving out of their shadowed ways of expressing themselves into living their/our/my gifts, not as separate selves as much anymore but as life simply flowing through me in response to life. After watching this video, I now see that it’s also alright, and even good, to continue discerning how I am different from others in terms of what we know and do. It’s the need to identify myself and others by those terms that's felt as physically wrong or bad in me because that’s the part of this that isn’t true about us as the human beings we can be. And for the first time, thanks to Richard, I see how each of our ‘I’s are like beautifully innocent or pure Lights of consciousness, each come to live differently embodied lives purposefully for all of us and the evolution of all of Life. And really seeing and feeling that is very freeing for me. I can love my/our once-needed, human ego strategies; the parts of me/us that still need those strategies; what I/we have learned about how to live with each other in this world that we can hold onto while finally shifting into identifying with the ‘I’ I/we really are. Thank you so much as always, Richard

Love this Richard. The easiest way I've found to avoid these ego traps (many of which I've had experience with) is to be what I call a "heathen". It's to live simply and naturally. It is to live according to your needs, wants, and desires. If we can fully accept and live out who we are and what is truly inside of us, the love and connection we feel to our self becomes an expression of our connection to god, and then the need that causes these ego traps no longer exists.
