Definitely has asmr potential, especially if you add a little whispering to the beginning. It's very hypnotically relaxing just as it is. The only problem is that the wind creates a pop effect which could maybe be alleviated with a pop filter on the mic.

I always had trouble with spirographs in certain holes, just like the person in this vid, where the gears get hung up and dont turn smoothly. It's the nature of where the hole is apparently. I never thought to guide it with my had when need be. I always got agervated and threw up my hands when that junk would happen. lol

Sorry about that! Not my doing. KZbin has changed its requirements for producers to get a share of ad revenue, and I lost my status by not having quite enough "Watch Time" hours (it was very close) so now I can't control the ad settings. When I get my status back, I'll be sure to remove those ads in the middle of the video!

Question, I had a Spirograph as a kid. How do you keep the paper from moving?? I remember we had to put tiny pins through the outside ring and through the paper. Also, where do they sell Spirographs now? Thanks!

First, this isn't a Spirograph, but the principles are the same. Spirograph now comes with "spiro-putty" which is just poster putty - you can see a couple of whitish blobs in the video holding the frame to the paper. No more holes. Spirograph itself can be purchased in toy stores and on Amazon. This product, "Wild Gears" is another story. Read about it here: spirographicart.com/wild-gears-spirograph-grownups/

This star is unique because it has seven points. Seven does not divide into 360 evenly.

The 210 ring is in the Full Page Gear Set, and the 120 triangle came from the Strange Shapes set, though I see it is also available in the new Triangle Hoop Adjunct set. See WildGears.com. The Full Page set is a good start, and he has advice on what to add.
