I don't think you're allowed to play major chords with this toolkit.

Thank you for this. I've been searching for the tools to create more ambient tracks and find that I'm best off with this one (British Drama Toolkit) along with the Kepler Orchestra and Olafur Arnalds Composer Toolkit. With these three in particular, I feel that I could be more able to realize what I'm hearing in my head. Yeah... I also have Albion One, Albion Neo, BBCSO Core, and several others, and along with these feel that my creative kit would be nearly complete... at least for now. I have to say that nearly every time you release another library I feel my bank account getting smaller. However, the tools that you've created are worth their price and I love that you pay royalties to the musicians, so it's a true win/win for all! Cheers... and Happy New Year to you as well as all at Spitfire Audio!

Already commented too much (on other vids). Just gonna say, thank you for creating such a beautiful composition tool, Spitfire. This is truly a special one.

I think I would make four instances of the patches and pan each slightly so chords have some rich spread to them; basically treat each instrument like a quartet of sadness and misery.

That bass clarinet for example, reminds me of the some of the delicious orchestration Benjamin Britten used in many of his operas... Really exciting to think I have access to similar orchestration possibilities!

Is it possible to change the velocity value where you trigger between texture, soft, and loud... not sure how well this will translate for anyone not using a midi controller with a semi-weighted action?

Why do I keep thinking that your best libs are the cheap and free ones? This is an instant buy for me.
@shashankchauhan50095 жыл бұрын
Airwave Music almost all of us think this. But it’s their effort and ‘wayward’ thinking that we admire when we gather enough money to purchase them. After sales services, “Sandy” is this amazing gem of a guy who responds within 18 hours, and then when you forget to respond to their emails, you get an email that you forgot to respond to our very own query, whether or not we understood what was either written to us or shown to us in a video link. Genuinely, more than their libraries, it’s the sincerity in their efforts I honour. Thank you, Spitfire! Love!

Beautiful library and great playing... Did you play 'out of the box' or did you need to adjust the velocity curves between the texture to the loud?
@Jeronimo3653 жыл бұрын
Can I assume there are literally 3 velocity thresholds and that any naturally occurring variation in velocity played within any one of the three layers will make no difference to the sound? 🙏

Yeah, me too. I don't have much time to write music (kids) but do sit at my piano for a little while now and then, so I'm hoping the BDT will be a good compromise until I can justify buying and using a good orchestral library. So many incredible libraries, it's hard to choose!
