who found out about this "hack"??? what is it about these radios that makes them preferable to other small radios, or even reference specific monitors like the auratones or ns-10s??

I really enjoyed this one! That live room is so inviting, and the studio gear is drool worthy. The only downside is that high pitched whine that starts around 13:09 when they enter the control room. Somewhere in the 17-18k range? Either way, excellent studio!
