I went back to Splatoon 2 the other day and I have to say that I missed the stage and weapon kit variety from that game. I feel that it's more diverse compared to 3. Edit: Of course shooter dominance was pretty terrible but I was mostly talking about the kits, not team comps. Thanks to splatoon 3 update cycle, we'll be waiting forever for 3rd kits or even another squiffer or range blaster kit

Ironically I just went back to mess around with the game yesterday and jeez some of these points for specials, in a world where we panic when a weapon goes to 170p we forget how dang many weapons went that low back in 2, and the fact that there are multiple weapons with *150p* like damn you were right their only solution to every problem back then was just make it a special spammer also bring back bubble combo it'll be funny :)

It's the fact that people use this game with to much nostalgia with the nostalgia trap card. @@maplemiles3381 If people are upset at the third game's flaws, and not the second game's, then Splatoon 3 has mistakes that make it less fun for its main playerbase. While I know you played both Splatoon 2 and 3, and I'm glad you enjoy the latter for what it is, but you don't need to parrot that other people are "wrong" if Splatoon 3's rush-into-battle gameplay philosophy feels restrictive to them. Splatoon 2 has _plenty_ of good maps, that I can check out almost any time of my day. Splatoon 1 has quite some of the disliked "straight/curved line" maps originating from them, but I'd love to check out Urchin Underpass and Saltspray Rig and S1 Mahi-Mahi.
