Though you didn’t say no glitches at all, I remember there being a glitch on Snapper Canal where at a specific part of the map you’d release it into the water and it would disappear, but kill anyone that was in its general direction. Don’t know if it’s patched but it was cool, but impractical.

Fun Fact: Sorella Tenta Brella is actually a collab between Sorella (the manufacturers of all the Brellas) and the clothing brand Inkline, as evidenced by Inkline's logo being on its canopy. Most likely the collab came about due to Inkline's clothes catering to outdoor activities like hiking and camping, which often call for tents. It's the only weapon/clothing brand collab that isn't a Splat-brand weapon.

It took me more than half the episode to realize the Tenta Brella is literally just a tent. You can see the windows, the door, everything. That's... honestly pretty cool. It shows that just about anything can become a Splatton weapon if you think about it hard enough. That first level just has a cool look to it. That's all. Me like. Okay, after seeing the level in action, it's even cooler than I thought. It's a whole stage designed around sniper duels. That's a cool idea. Now I want to see what military hamsters are like. I just picture them running around with tiny camo helmets and outfits. Not the most thretening military force, I don't think. This time, it was something falling onto Emile that killed him. Talk about a plot twist. Followed by hime falling to his death via a missed jump. Craig is right. This is getting ridiculus. You think that's enough enemies yet? The irony of Emile saying he's sing equipment that gives more helth moments before dying to a sniper is beautiful. Was that a Tim cameo I heard? Nice.

I like the little touch of how the transitions of the previous two episodes are callbacks/continuations of their base weapon type's transitions. Mini Splatling started like the Heavy Splatling's but had one smaller and much faster. Tenta Brella's had rain like the Splat Brella's, but instead of a bunch of little umbrellas raining down, it was one big umbrella sliding across the screen. I'm guessing we might get something similar when we get to the Splash-o-Matic and H-3 Nozzlenose

5:13 The whole "release it now and finish it later" tactic only works for Splatoon because the updates are consistent enough to warrant it and as well as it being online multiplayer focused. It was a new IP back in 2015, so people naturally expect it to have free updates after launch, Unfortunately the same cannot be said to the Mario Sports games on Switch. Those franchises aren't new and they had games that were complete. It becomes very jarring to have an incomplete game at launch when older installments didn't have such an issue. (Ignoring Ultra Smash). It doesn't work at all to use Splatoon's method because it was not originally intended for said franchise and updates should only be done for balancing or for bug fixes. At least Splatoon was able to work around this method, but any other existing franchise can't do the same without making it feel cheap or unfinished. It makes it seem like Nintendo is rushing games just to have stuff out instead of focusing on making them complete games.

yeah I don't feel like there's much of a debate here. games should be in a complete state when you buy them. we should be paying for a finished product. and I'd much rather a game take longer to come out than come out now and need updates via the internet. especially for people who can't connect to the internet regularly.

Ah, I remember when I used the weapon before it started to actually become good. I stacked a bunch of Run Speed Up, and became an almost non-unstoppable slippery force of a wall. 3 Mains of Run Speed Up makes this weapon incredibly fun to play, even if it is absolutely niche and is probably not recommended in any serious battle, but I'll do it for X Rank stuff anyways.

5:40 to partially answer, a lot of game companies nowadays have really bad work environments and a lot of top/founding talent has quit which makes for a unproductive work and a lot of forced overtime which doesn’t get much done either. That and also an increased focus on post launch monetization rather than pushing a fully finished product makes this pattern of broken on launch with a functional in game shop happen.

The first level of this video is really cool because a lot change’s about the level depending on what weapon you pick.the harder weapons have less range meaning you can’t make shots that the other weapons can. it causes you to have to go a different route from them too.

Hi Chugga!! I’ve been a long-time fan of your videos (I’m talkin YEARS), and a Splatoon player for only 4 years or so, but still a player!! And I’m actually a hardcore Tent main (trying to be) in the competitive Splatoon scene, and I wanted to say a few things!! First, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR DOING YOUR RESEARCH. RUN SPEED TENT IS AWFUL AND NOT AT ALL RECOMMENDED. Second, you did better than you probably think you did!! Tent is one of the hardest weapons to pick and up immediately do well with, but from what I could tell you actually had a pretty good grasp of some basics. re: content dripfeed It worked with Splatoon and 2, because no matter how small, a new weapon can drastically change how you play the game. It's significant content, and usually something that wasn't present prior. For something like the Mario sports games, they seem to think a new character that doesn't play any different, or ONE NEW MAP AT A TIME is on the same level. Especially since said Mario Sports games are nowhere near as complex as Splatoon. As for Animal Crossing... I mean, I feel like coming out at the start of the pandemic was the worst thing to happen to that game. Content updates were bare no matter the context, but people had so much opportunity to milk the game dry that they wouldn't have had otherwise.

You vaguely touched on suction bombs being bad for the tent's HP, but I'm surprised there was no mention that you have to be extra careful of all lethal bombs with such a large canopy, since they instantly detonate on contact. Whenever I see this weapon on the enemy team, I take every chance I get to chuck a bomb at their side of the shield for those sweet insta-kills. 2:16 I vonder if zere are any military hamsters who are related to ze evil Dr. Jacques von Hämsterviel! Whenever you use phrases like 'pitching a tent' I can never be sure if you know what it refers to or not...

The Tenta Brella, especially the Camo variant, is one of my favorite weapons for Rainmaker. It's so great for covering a Rainmaker push, and is surprisingly deadly in its own right. I didn't jive with the Tenta when it was first released, but I realize now that's because I played more Turf War when it was first release and the vanilla variant is an absolutely AWFUL Turf War weapon. It needs good coordination and timing, but it is really satisfying once you get the hang of it. Also my Ultra Stamp bias is showing again, lol. That special is just too fun.

On the subject of input delay, I'd in fact heard that with the way that our brains process information, there's a bit of a delay with that, too. Thus, if an action actually came out right the very moment that we pressed a button, it would actually seem to us as if the action came out *before* we pressed it!

I personally love the Tenta Sorrella Brella, and while some people find the splash wall redundant, I find that it can complement the Tent shield quite well, allowing you to tackle situations where the tent shield alone would fail (provided you have the ink savers for it and the restraint to not burn all your ink firing at opponents). Such times can include a baller charging at you and phasing through your tent, times where you need to hold a choke point or attack from behind a static wall, those times when you want to tuck into a corner or need a wall quickly, or even giving yourself a better shield launch angle. Also, the curling launcher is chaos when deployed on the right terrain (such as most clam basket areas), and suprisingly lethal too. I actually mainly use the Tenta Sorrella in Clam Blitz, though sometime in zones.

Fun fact: unless the camo has its stamp, the Sorrella's kit is the best anti-tenta brella of the three, because a deployed splash wall wins against a tent shield and bomb launcher.

Tenta Brella is one of my favorite weapons in Splatoon 2, great for new players or for players getting accustomed to slow attack time weapons. This is going from Emile's explanation and from general observation of Umbrella weapons in Splatoon videos.

Turns out Octarians notice that just as a player would. 5:49 "Careful you don't get surrounded here" - immediately walks right up to the center of the area filled with enemy ink. I have a bit of a soft spot for the Tenta Brella. I just think it can do neat things by putting up such a big shield. I enjoy the novelty this weapon brings to the table Hard to coordinate with randoms, sure, but you can definitely give an objective that last push it needs, and the canopy is a pretty solid method of turfing when fired. And boy, that fabled one-shot feels great when you actually land it, difficult though that is. And one thing I especially enjoy is when you get to exploit the canopy in tight spaces. Since the opponent will want to swing around it, with the right placement, you can manipulate and call out where your opponent is going to be and I have landed splats that way. Doesn't come up much, but come on, gotta find pleasure in the little things, right? I've played this weapon in ranked a little... not something I'd rely on when actually trying to climb the ranks, but it does okay for me. Sometimes. 29:58 Hi, Tim!

Hey great video, loving the series. I want to bring attention to another controller called Kingkong 2 Pro Controller by Gulikit, it has all the functionalities of Nintendo's pro controller but has electromagnetic sticks that promise no drifting and it is comfy to use; it can also be use for pc gaming. The only cons is the rumble which you can turn off. Otherwise the 8bitdo pro 2 that you mentioned is pretty good option with customizable inputs and 2 extra buttons on the back to maybe make booyah bomb spamming or bomb strafing easier, which I do prefer but the left stick positioning can be awkward to get used to. There are pretty good reviews of both on youtube to make the decision for your preferences.

Ah, my favorite weapon in Splatoon 2. Personally, I like just how much the Sorella and Camo Tent carve out a niche as Tank Support. On maps Wahoo World especially, having TWO shields is killer, and having Mines can help you watch flank routes in Clam Blitz on annoying maps like Walleye Warehouse, effectively giving the team a fifth pair of eyes to watch the secret or out-of-the-way routes into base. Oh, and the vanilla Tent exists too, I guess. It's not the best anchoring weapon in the world, but it's a good learning tool for teaching anchor players how the best place to stand MOVES during a match.

I think the reason gaming companies release content in a series of updates is to keep players engaged for longer. If you get a lot of stuff at the beginning, for a little bit most people will be engaged but there will be more falloff than if new content is added gradually.
