Here's a trick for girl power station if anyone wants it The enemies always spawn in the same place each time at the exact same time, you can use this to know where the enemies are going to come in and get the jump on them before they can even react

I'll throw in my own hint for Girl Power: towards the last 10/15 seconds, just pick up the canned Suction Bomb Launcher and spam it at the orb. The high object damage of the special is enough to outpace or at least severely delay the DPS that it's receiving. You can probably do this with the Inkjet/Stingray as well, but the Suction Bomb Launcher is more likely to splat any nearby Octolings.

10:04 Yep. That's why you have to pay close attention at all times. Anyways, there's actually an easier way to beat this stage that speedrunners use. You literally just attack the early octolings one at a time to trigger them early and give you plenty of time to setup for the elites, the ones you see at the start aren't invulnerable, you can damage them. This strategy is easiest with splattershot and roller, but skilled enough players can beat this stage with only a sub weapon, so every weapon should be possible.

To anyone that needs help with Girl Power Station, here’s one very useful piece of advice: The spawns are not random Each octolings will always super jump at the same time and place for each attempt. Knowing this and memorizing the locations will make getting through the first part of the level much easier. As for the second half, the super jumps will start happening so fast that the best strategy is taking them out as quickly as possible. I would recommend the splattershot as it’s probably the most adaptable weapon available. Don’t bother with specials, maybe get armor at the beginning but mainly just focus on taking out octolings

Coming back to this, when I was watching this, hearing about the ability of the nautilus to hold charge I figured I wanted to try it. When 3 came out, I used one of the 3 golden tickets to get the Nautilus early. Started to play with it, but got REALLY into it in the Splatfest. It is since become my main. ive been waiting for this one for a WHILE nautilus 79 is my only main weapon and ive been using it since it came out…6.5 mil turf superfresh 50 on the thing the works LOL other things to note is it has an insanely high shot velocity (the shots travel faster than a bamboozlers!) and id personally recommend run speed up for the increased run speed while firing (the strafing speed is the worst while charging, but while firing its not bad at all) also even though you can recharge and such, it fires for a relatively short time, so learning how to quickly partial charge enough for a kill is still super important i like this weapon a lot :) highly recommend playing it. even more fun finally seeing this episode since chuggas s1 lp got me into the series years ago

Nautilus is so awesome, it's bullet velocity legit rivals chargers- literally close to hitscan, along with its quick recharge time, AND its lack of shot rng while jumping is insane. Personal comment first and foremost. You did 2 very special stages for the minimum zr run. Girl Power was done with splat bombs as they have 1 hit KO potential compared to burst bombs and a bomb run right into the orb healed it. The other area was a box buster where they used the roller and jumped into the boxes a few times. And yes you are extremely lucky for Girl Power station

My trick is to defend like normal with the dualies. When there’s like ten seconds remaining, I dodge roll and only shoot the orb. When I run out of ink, I use Ink armor to refill my tank and increase my durability and continue shooting

As a Nautilus user, i want to also suggest Run Speed up OVER Swim Speed. Run Speed is still hella important for Naut even if it swims more than most Splatlings, as it fixes it's atrocious Strafe Speed. I will also suggest 1 main 1 sub or 4 subs of Main power up. This makes charges longer and is incredibly useful in fights.

I think it’d be a Goo Tuber situation. Nearly every other splatling would outclass the Nautilus due to superior range and fire duration, because being able to store your charge for longer isn’t actually that useful if the other weapons have better traits. That’s just my analysis though.

Ah yes, Girl Power Station. I vaguely recall you saying something during the main story about how the enemy Octolings don't use Subs and/or Specials, I believe? Something along those lines. Well here ya go. This one can be rather brutal on a bad day. The enemy Octoling AI is somewhat inconsistent here, I find, so I've seen clears in ways that really seem like they shouldn't be doable, but also I've seen real struggles with what seem like really strong attempts. In my experience, the key to a clear here is knowing when and where they drop in, and making sure to turf during any downtime. Your ink will absolutely slow them down a lot if it's in the way and also make them much easier targets. Seems like conventional wisdom, but it's rather easy to forget... 17:59 Well-placed ad right here. I respect it.

While the Nautilus is here, there are bigger fish to fry in this episode. That fish also happens to be one of, if not the most infamous normal levels in the Octo Expansion: Girl Power Station. However, while I do agree that it's the hardest level for a first playthrough, repeat playthroughs of this level are significantly easier imo. This is mainly because the Octolings always come in in the same way, especially if you use frontline or midline options like the Splattershot or Octobrush. So, if you can memorize the patterns, it's easy to spawn camp a lot the Octolings as soon as they land, giving you enough time to take out the rest before they have a chance to deal too much damage to the Orb. Another tip is to try to memorize which Octoling activates which special and prioritize the ones carrying the specials you have the hardest time dealing with to make sure they can't pop it. I'd also recommend grabbing 1 of the Armor cases as soon as you jump in on your way to the front to deal with the first wave, then grab the other whenever you can. 24:37 Another thing to note about this story and the Ballpoint that might've led to the thought of the Ballpoint being way better then the Nautilus is that the Ballpoint was extremely broken when it first came out and got a number of nerfs in following patches

Girl Power Station was absolutely the station I had the worst time with. It was miserable. I eventually beat it with Splat Duelies and from trying to beat the Octolings before I could get overwhelmed. Preemptively throwing Splat Bombs at the Octolings as they Super Jump in (especially the first couple) is really helpful, too

Stupid thing I love to do with the Naut is wearing an outfit that matches it. The outfit in question being the shirt and shoes of the knight amiibo set (with the golden toothpick for the headgear). I had this idea ever since the Knight vs Wizard splatfest. I always thought the round end of Nautilus looked like a shield when seen from the right angle.
