Funfact (aka an excuse to lore dump): Pearl's last name was actually already known before the dlc. It just never got an official translation (as far as I remember) because it was in one of those fancy magazines we'll never get overseas. I think it was stated in an interview with her where she showed the readers around her giant mansion. There also is a manga about Marina's relationship to Pearl drawn by Marina (in-unsiverse). It's referencing shōjo mangas and is heavily implying that she has feelings for Pearl. And honestly, they're 100% a thing, Nintendo's just too scared to admit it

I'm not a Splatoon guy but I find the Splatoon lore interesting and the story campaign's fun so I find it hilarious that agent 4 has been just reduced to the new one even though they have been a agent for a good amount of time truly the most neglected agent at this point I'm convinced that they've became just clean up crew and is so done with not being invited to the secret missions

Tbf, other than this dlc there wasn't a chance for agent 4 to appear, they were the character you play as in splatoon 2, agent 8 is the character in OE, in splatoon 3 story mode I don't think it would fit having them there unless you change a lot of things so they need to be there, and in SO (side order) there was an opportunity for agent 4 to be there, tbh I expected them to appear in the dlc just how agent 3 (now captain) appeared in OE Now that I think about it, agent 4 is the most hyped up splatoon character that literally hadn't had an opportunity to be in any place yet, splatoon 4 maybe?

I don’t know why Google gave you that result when you asked what Houzuki means. Houzuki is “pygmy squid” in Japanese, and is indeed Pearl’s surname. Hers and Marina’s surnames have been known for a while, but were only published in Corocoro magazine in Japan before this I think.

Ian BGM is just big man with the letters swapped around. Big man used that alias to collab with the squid sisters to write “liquid sunshine” which plays during splatfests now. Shiver and Frye found out about it later though which is what led to the creation of “big betrayal” because big man hid it from them.

Honestly the game is really fun when i'm playing it, a bit repetitive watching other people playing it, but i stayed for just hearing your commentary bcoz it's the most entertaining i've seen so far. Fun fact! The reason why you start specifically with the dualies and the brella is because those were not only the two new weapon classes that came with Splatoon 2, but they also happen to be Pearl and Marina's mains respectively, much like how Callie mains roller and Marie mains charger! :)

It took so long to beat this dlc :skull: there were so much rage, sweat, blood and tears trying to beat the dlc. I knew i'd be comp af knowing others beat it before me, and that just made it worse. I'm comp at this game when I choose to be, but when I see other people better at me or a higher level I get so angry lol. Like, for a while I was a higher level then you when the game came out, and i was like. Ok. this is my only drive to keep playing: being better then jaymoji. (offtopic tho, ur a huge part of my childhood) ANYWAY. I'm HELLA levels behind you now, including many others, and I rememeber when on day one or the first week of splatoon 3 launched, SOMEOEN ALREADY GOT TO LVL 100? I WAS LIKE? WHAT? THERES A LEVEL 100? It takes so long to level up. I play so many games that I wanna eventually quit so I can just main Splatoon 3 like I used to, it was such a huge impact on my life. Idk why I'm saying any of this. But when I beat the dlc I was crying so bad lol. I missed Marina nd Pearl so so much. I missed Inkopolis Square, because I visited it for 365 days, and then.. everyone just left. Idk. Seeing everyone leaving a game that meant so much to me made me soo sad. BUT. I DID IT. I BEAT THE DLC. IT TOOK 2 DAYS. BUT I DID IT. Anyway thanks for being apart of the splatoon 3 community jay
