I’m of the belief that Parallel Canon was the security system Marina wanted Agent 4 to head. Agent 4 never got back to Marina regarding her proposition, so the parallel canon avatar was left incomplete. They definitely aren’t hypnotized inklings, just robots!

Here's the craziest part 1 of the dialogues you can get while in the elevator seemingly implies that the the Killer Wail Pearl used on Commander TarTar snapped Acht AKA Dedf1sh and probably other Octarians out of the mind control of the sanitization like legemitly Pearl is 1 of the biggest contributors to the Splatoon lore

Huh, well, this was interesting, so we got to meet Agent 8, but unlike with the Original Agent 3, we actually got to play as Agent 8 once again? I gotta say, getting to play as the Same Character in two different Games for the first time, was a very surprising and appreciated touch. Also, while we did seem to get at least some kind of glimpse of Agent 4, i would still like to see and know more about them. Anyway, this was a interesting Addition, I wonder what this will mean for the Future?

Well if you played the Octo Expansion, the saved data causes Agent 8 in this game to have the exact same features they had in Splatoon 2. For example, I was shocked to see that my Agent 8 looked familiar. So I went to my saved pictures on my switch and found a picture of my Agent 8 from the Splatoon 2 DLC, and it was the SAME! I mean, besides the color of the tentacles, it was the exact same. I was so excited and happy to see it already had the character all prepared from the saved data.

Another Amazing discovery i just found out is that whenever You die,Agent 8's ghost Is apparently A inkling ghost. HOWEVER. If your character Is A Octoling Before side order than your ghost Is the Octoling Version.But if your character is A inkling Than its the inkling ghost again.MEANING That we're actually not only Agent 8. But maybe. AGENT 3! Or Agent 4. Lol

Amazing video!! I really wish this DLC had more story, gameplay wise it was super fun and i didn’t mind scaling the tower 12 times! but the 8 pallet with Acht stuff just felt so random as i was really looking forward to know more about 8, (like their interactions with NSS or maybe their past life idk) i felt like they should’ve just gave us acht’s pallet and their notes but eh, i hope we get some more story stuff before the next game tho!! I think the Parallel Canon is meant to be based on Agent 4's data, at least. If you have Splatoon 2 data, it'll actually port your Inkling's hairstyle onto one of the seven enemies.

You're not counting something: If you fail in the middle of the tower, you'll have to climb it all over again, if you want to, there is an option to retry from the floor you failed, but... spoiler! This option is not available with Agent 8's pallet, yeah they have their own pallet and yet, if you use hacks you can't use many chips, so... Hackless and no retry... Man, don't even try is if you're sane

I believe the first time we enter into the spire was the trial run that turned into a disaster. You can see in the last dev diary before the acht entries that eight volunteered to be the first test subject and the tower was a process to reach marina at the top floor completing the process and restoring the memories. Still doesn’t answer how acht got in there before eight but hey…

if you read agent 4’s palettes info smollusk says something along the lines of; Agent 4 was supposed to be the guardian of the spire. and when you kill the agent 4 looking one in battle, his mask falls off and he disappears while the other parallels bodies just explode into pieces. Man, I WISH we had to climb the tower more than 12 times, cause I'm hooked regardless! If we got a new lore drop even after the 12th climb, I'd be PSYCHED! I've probably cleared the Spire close to 25 times now and each run is uniquely fun! Now I'm doing all the weapons with monochromatic palettes, and it's SO FUN! And you get over 1000 pearls per run if you play your chips right!

Acht uses they/them pronouns. They used to be referred to as a gal in pre-Side Order material, however post Side Order they have been referred to with gender neutral terms and pronouns in pretty much every language (including Japanese, which is of course the original language the game was made in) Idk how this was gotten wrong as every single wiki page lists their pronouns as they/them as well as the fact that they are referred to exclusively with they/them pronouns in the dialogue. Please refer to them with the correct terms in the future.

Why are you guys expecting some ground breaking lore when the splatfest was supposed to fill that role? Since order lost it made sense to just tell a story through it like that. I think the way side order handled itself was fine it was even pretty cool tbh

Because Octo Expansion did just that, they dropped a lore bomb with the existence (or atleast the legacy) of the humans (and their definite extinction), added depth to the octolings, and introduced an actual new possible antagonist (humans, again, even if yeah, they died there at the time, it did lead into Mr.Grizz being the main antagonist of Splatoon 3 as the last mammal representative (although if the credits are true, he's still alive somewhere in space ?)) It didn't help that octo expansion also was considered the best story experience of the splatoon franchise PERIOD up to this point, so i can understand the need to find that again, specially since it is a DLC you pay for 25 bucks like i did instead of 15 (personally not playing online and i don't want to pay for nintendo online for a full year to have a run for my money)

This is a great oversight of the side order DLC, I am heavily excited that there was no pronouns used in this video. I am not sure if I would want to complete the tower twelve times but I might when I have additional time to do so. Now that the Octavio story is completed what will this new story and tale fallow for Splatoon four? Will the game play actually change for once? We shall find out in the next couple of years.
