PROJECT ADAM subject 007, first human to successfully enter cryo stasis, the other 6...(sigh) didnt make it, 006 didnt wake up and the others just died in stasis, but HE made it. Hes in orbit of the moon right now if we dont retrieve him the pod will bring him back in a few hundred years with enough food water and ammo to last a while, plus schematics recipes to make more ammo and tools... I'd like to think that the father is more important then he lets on. He was actually the one who made the original version of the Calamari Inkantation. He originally wrote it for his little daughter as a gift for the festival, so they had their own tune to sing for the festivities. It was "Calamari Incantation" at first. When the Squid Sisters first came across it when they were kids, the lyrics were completely faded out, but the sheet music and title weren't, which made the talent show they won back then a total cinch. Eventually, they properly restored the sheet music for use as idols. They slightly changed the song's title to "Calamari Inkantation", to fit in with their whole song-naming scheme. Basically, what I'm getting at here is that the father didn't just make a song for his daughter and him to casually sing at festivals, he made the song that literally saved the world 3 times by now.

Part of me refuses to believe that all humans have died out in this timeline. They had cryostasis chambers, so surely somewhere in the world of Splatoon a substantial human population that could revitalize their species might still be sleeping in an underground facility still waiting to wake up. Might make for a good setting for another Splatoon sequel if Nintendo allows. How would the remaining humans (likely humbled from their near extinction event) react to the newly evolved species and vice-versa? Can the language barrier be broken? Would they be able to adapt and integrate into the new society given the new governments allow them to? The story potential is hard ignore.
