My goal is to comment on every amazing Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers video on KZbin. My favorite artist of all time. My youth and high school was in the 70’s golden era. Blessed to have seen him twice-1981 at Red Rocks and then on his final tour in 2017. Best songwriter of all classic rockers. Surround by the hardest working amazing band of musicians. Gone too soon!

So cute..so I said... " wow..thát must be great fun with your daddy into music too like I am.." He's downstairs she said, so you can meet him...I felt truely blessed having a talk with a man who had seen Tom and his Heartbreakers LIVE in our tiny Netherlands 😎😍🤗😇😊

TP has now been recognized with his band, which he has and does work very hard as its manager to keep together or even change members, but the latter rarely, as totally awesome. I must add he and his Breakers give some of the best live stuff of anyone. My fav is "The Waiting", but I love 99.9% of his work. How many more songs does this genius man have in him? Truly he is a genius at putting together not-too-unusual chords, riffs and moves into a bottomless well of high-quality songs (rock, pop, blues, pretty songs, on and on) thru four decades. I LOVE "The Waiting" personally, but I love almost all of the rest of his work. HE is, indeed, my BEATLES OF NOW. I am lucky, as his song "You Got Lucky" says ...why? I'm lucky because his boyhood home is 10 minutes away! And I was with him for a while back in '82. I'm a musician (keyboard, not Benmont keyboard, but keyboard!). So I go to his boyhood house .....you know the town...."Gatorville" ......., park, dig the vibes, and Thank Tom, Thank Tom, Thank Tom, for him moving my emotions in wonderful, joyful healing ways!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TP AND BREAKERS ARE AMONG A SELECT FEW of the top bands ever!!! WE SALUTE THEM!!!!

Tom Petty is one of my favorite artists of all time and the music recorded here is great. But his movements seem a bit slow, even compared to his bandmates - I wonder if he ever got off the junk once he was on it. In any case, he gave joy with his music and lived a full life - RIP the great Tom Petty.
@backupsinger82776 жыл бұрын
He was addicted to Fentnyl because of fractures in both hips. He refused to have surgery because it would have disrupted tour dates. Old school work ethic. So.... he suffered quite a few years.... this was four years ago and it was getting worse. When he came back here to Gville in 2006 (? 2005) the difference in his stage presence was obvious, slower, and his dialogue wirh the audience seemed affected by drugs. I knew Tommy since high school, and it would have taken a lot for him to surrender to the type of addiction that killed him. He was no slouch, and his pain was that serious.
