I tried it a few times, but I think it only has limited use. Generally, globally, the result has to many artifacts. Like you can hear in your first attempt there are bubbly or phaser-y effects in the vocals. Like you said there is bleed, too. So, sound quality IMO is not good enough to use whole tracks (unless the original track has specific characteristics that let it be split neatly). For example, I think you cannot extract the vocals from a track and go in stage to perform with the instrumental.

Yeah i was trying neural mix on dj algoriddim which attempts to do the same thing in real time and found the results generally dissapointing. Itll be worth givint it a try in the demo at least

Yes you can do it in both, but I don’t think there is anything wrong with using tools to make your workflow faster if they are available for you. Everyone should find the best workflow for them ☺️

How can you do stem separation in Ableton? I once had docker running spleeter but it doesn't work anymore, what else can I use.

@@avigyavegashunyata1108 I think I might need to update docker? It wasn't the easiest thing for me to set up as I'm not so tech savvy. I had it working in Ableton 10 for a bit and now that I switched to 11 it won't work. Maybe I should see if it still works in 10?
