Ok, a hint without spoilers. You are going to spend a lot of time traversing that lava zone. Take a good supply of stone ramps to build permanent short cuts and place a couple of stone pillars so you can see them from afar. Saves a lot of hopping up and down to get over obstacles. And invest in a flashlight, you are going to need it.

Nice base build there (as usual!) - I find the base building and general survival/hunting/gathering in the temperate areas of Icarus very satisfying and immersive. I've spent more time to just footle around with a base build and enjoying the scenery than actually completing missions, rofl! The appearance of batteries may change the equation, but solar panels just aren't worth the very high resource cost at the moment. Interesting point from early doors re the story element. I applaud RocketWerkz' attempt to tell the story through the narrated mission pre-amble ... but it's always felt like the "flavour text" ( _a la_ MtG cards) on the blueprint and workshop item cards and the overarching story ends up being a bit disjointed. I don't "feel" the machinations of the competing factions in the backstory in playthroughs, which heightens the disconnect. This disjointedness and disconnection from the story is magnified by the time that many missions take. I haven't done open world (...yet!), but perhaps that will help a bit with story continuity in a playthrough. - I'll have to point smol person at your Flipsie:Icarus videos to show him various possibilities for base building ... though with this particular series, it will further fuel his ambition to tame animals, which should be a ways off as his avatar is only L8 presently 😶

was thinking as often as you go to the lava and swamp zones, wouldn't it be a helpful idea to have an outpost at certain points, like the entrance to the swamp zone to "store" thing like your mounts or emergency spawn point during long or tedious missions?

I have found that when I am running in Icarus sprinting while jumping (particularly when going downhill) and you often don't loose stamina if you get enough time in the air and have the talent that reduces the stamina cost of jumping

gastroenteritis is usually not contagious, but when it is, it can be covid-caused (rarer) and a few other bad viral infections. you made the right call.

One of the more common and more horrible forms of gastroenteritis is caused by the noroviruses, they're very highly contagious and very unpleasant (my other job is healthcare)
