Sad to see it end. My dad was able to be apart of that collection and it was so cool when he told me, but sadly he past away a month ago was not able to see how grand it was. So Splitsie on behalf of my dad and myself thank you for the experience and joy and content you bring to the community. :)

Yes. Given my experiences on public servers previously, I was glad to see the vast majority of people coming together to help each other and make some amazing things. I'm sad that I didn't get to the collection site until some of those amazing works have gone or been destroyed, but some major things like the cafe and community centre lasted through all that.

I think it's fitting that the Porpise's final resting point is practically on top of what its initial purpose was always to fulfil. It had its roles - keep you alive until, give you production facilities for, and transport you to, the collection. This is what it was dedicated to, in its entirety, with every block it has. I think there was something adding to it being at a slightly off angle, both in relation to the collection's grid and leaning slightly to its right on the ice - it's not meant for atmosphere, but to fulfil its purpose entirely, it still braved it. It's surprisingly large to me, even knowing all the massive stuff packed inside it, and it compliments the collection itself nicely, with its similar architecture and color. I'm glad I could see this whole journey, from that initial 250k kilometer journey to this final arrangement. Here's to, indeed, many more to come.

Visited the Frozen Man yesterday and it was still standing. The server was struggling a bit ("Scene too complex" kept popping up) but it was nice to see it for "real" and hope it will continue to be there until Keen does a restart. Anybody else getting Terracotta Army vibes? Ranks of his loyal subjects risen and guarding the entrance whilst thier leader lays and rests at the end of the chamber.? Wish I had had time/remembered to join those ranks. Good luck Keen with finding a way to preserve the collection through server resets and all time 😋 Well done Splitsie on another great series and thanks for all the hard work.

Aaay I spotted myself in there! My attempt to join the collection was actually my first time ever playing in survival Space Engineers, so thank you for that push! I converted a landing pod or two (or three) in my attempts at reaching there, learning and crashing and finally succeeding! (And then crashing again after accidentally hopping out of my seat to paint the drop pod while in flight...) Needless to say, using my fourth respawn to pop in at the sandwich shack was a real huge help. A four meter walk was considerably more doable than my constant respawns on the opposite side of the planet. xD Thanks again for this awesome series, Splitsie!

You really have a flair for the last episodes of your different Series. I did not expect what you did for your own Cryopod, Nice touch. A final bow (if the emote was in game) with the Tuxedo Spacesuit skin would have added a flair too. I never thought of the cylindrical pillars on half blocks as seen at 30:00. I agree, very nice idea.

One of the things I try my hardest to do is make each series have a satisfying ending, while some it ends up impossible due to game bugs and the like, at least getting some closure allows room to enjoy something new. You said in a video once that when you were at University you had a class about communicating. I saw elements of that before hearing you say that. One of the reasons I like your videos best of the other KZbinrs that make SE content is that you communicate clearly. Others are all "umms" and "I think...", you do not do it that often. I watch some retro PC Tech channels sometimes and one person, I will not say who, I can only take in small segments because they tend to ramble and repeat themself multiple times.

The collection represents not just the community, but also the journey it took to get to that point, all the hardships and the successes, coming together to create a monument that will last even beyond the safe zone's failure, if not physically then in the hearts of the viewers, Splitsie, and entire series. This is a tomb for the many ships lost to come to this point, as their owners rest eternally, frozen in a deep sleep. It was great to watch each video up to this point, and I am happy to be one with The Collection.

Great Series. Thanks for the challenge. (That I failed, finding you in space) and my Cameo in the last recording. I jumped all the way out 250,000+ Km from Earth Like. (And all the way back after I gave up looking.) Thinking I could easily line up the sky box / find an asteroid you has been too. Nope the asteroids change / move / repair voxel damage on a server (DOH!!). Found out the hard way, lining up the skybox image from a 4K recording reduced by KZbin and displayed at 1440p was harder that I initially thought. With some help, (thanks E) we may of come close by finding your ships trajectory but finding you in that cone was a large amount of space. (So not close at all). I cant believe that I managed to recognize the booze bus at first glance. Thats what I really like about Splitsie's Space Engineers series, every ship, vehicle and structure is a living character with its own personality and its place in the "Splitsieverse" (or Capacverse) lore. There should really be a museum for all of them with their backstories.

Amazing end to the series, Splitsie - crashing your collecting ship into the collection... What other way would you end it? Glad I made it to the Collection - couldn't see my broadcast in the cryo-pod (for obvious reasons - how does Capac manage anything with a HUD like that?), but I saw my Drill Rig in the background as you were landing; wish it hadn't been foggy, though, added much to the atmosphere, but stopped us seeing all the ships/buildings that were around. Hopefully you'll do something else on a public at some point, no idea what, but I hope you'll come up with something. Thank you for letting us be part of this journey with you.

I see that I inadvertently made myself (Cedarfax in-game) famous in this video in the chat for both mentioning forgetting to GPS where I'd parked my ship in Alien orbit, and then managing to send "/spg Ship this way somewhere" globally instead of actually setting a GPS... Anyway, I've loved watching this series Splitsie and, while I did see the filming of the finale from the point of the landing of the Porpoise (I think you see me briefly jet-packing towards it), how you edited that all together it feels even more special and fitting as the conclusion to this series. The Collector was interesting not just in its objective, but in you opening yourself up to the risk and uncontrollable environment of a public server. While in collaborative streams and series you don't have total control over the situation, I'm sure that behind the scenes at the very least some rules and red lines are set out for those participating (or you are very fortunate with those you collaborate with), and you generally retain the ability to switch to Creative/Admin mode to resolve certain situations (like in at least one of your series (Wrong Way Up?) when you had to copy and paste the rover a number of times where it had become oddly embedded in the terrain), you were in the same position as everyone else on the public servers (albeit with a lot more experience than many) and I'm so glad that it ended up as this finale rather than it ending because someone doing something mean or destructive, or an accident destroying almost everything you had (like a number of players including myself experienced - I had a jump into gravity that should never happen in game and had to leave the shell of the surviving half of my ship embedded in a mountain on Earth-like).

@6:05 Having created it once usually results in a better produyct than the first time around, in the rare occasions where some design is lost.

What a fantastic ending to this series. I never expected that many in your pods. I originally thought there would only be 10-20. Having just binge watched this series, I’m curious now that it’s been 3 months since the finale how is the collection today? Love watching your videos.

That's a lot of icicles! That's so cool (except for those you landed your ship on, they are toast 😆)

My rover got stolen... @Splitsie your ship got stolen... but it was great adventure for me to catch the 'plane' and depart with you.

I did see someone trying (unsuccessfully at that time) to use hinges to get the ship out of the safe zone. I guess someone worked out how to move it successfully.

Note on minute 35: I (SOL.ToMar / Feuerdrache A1) did not shoot on those ships. Always was in my cryo pod during these attacks. Other than that: Looking forward to see some further building on Omicron (Was that the name of the high gravity planet?)

It was hard to see names so having a list of all those frozen would be cool! I am in there somewhere! The question now is do i continue to play on that server or go back to the NA one? Had more latency on this one, but seems to be active with players which is interesting

I regards to the wave [and some other] emoji, if you haven' figured it out yet or no one else has told you, it's a bug with the hand welder animation. If you have a new clone that hasn't used a welder yet, ie game load, respawn or F10 replay tool add player, you can wave😁 Use a hand welder, no more waving 😪

The RBLF notes the collection is Incomplete without homage being paid to Our Glorious Red Battery… But still, it’s pretty epic.

That orange and grey ship at the start reminded me of the ship you use in Space Quest (I think it was SQ3 but might've been SQ2, been a long time since I played those with my mum)

Come join Splitsies absolutely-not-a-cult! We shall sacrifice, no, 'donate' our bodies to 'science' (totally not mischief) in form of icicles! Come follow our great leader, Admiral Mc Splitsington, our holy saviour, the glorious diety in his magnificent cryo-throne on whose behalf we shall march against Clang, the vile rotor!

Random thought: Do you have an ejector system to throw out unwanted items? Just wondering if some prankster could gravel-bomb the site so the collectors soak it all up and fill the base's inventory? Then others couldn't donate uranium/safe zone chips to keep it going...
