I would have agreed 4 years ago about optics on carry guns, until I had a heart attack and now my ability to focus on the front sight is not that good anymore. Red dots make a huge difference. My revolvers have CT laser grips. But those are some really nice guns if you got young eyes.

In this crazy market of micro 9's, I carry a Walther PPS M2, 9mm, 8+1, single stack. Night sights but no rail or optic. I'm super accurate with this gun out to 15 yards. Over 1000 rounds through the gun, zero hiccups, accurate, reliable, shoots like a dream. I wouldn't carry anything else. I'm very comfortable and confident with this gun.

Walther PPS and Shield 2.0 are also great single stacks to pick up used
@Shenmue06
@Shenmue06 11 күн бұрын
I don't think that it's very logical to buy the regular shield 2.0 because the plus is super affordable. By the time you put on a hundred dollar set of night sights on the regular 2.0 you could have basically purchased the optics ready shield plus for only a little extra money. The shield 2.0 has a horrible trigger shoe and low capacity so it's not logical to choose it anymore. I still carry a regular shield but I only carry it because it has an apex trigger kit which is amazing.
@Samyouell11510

@Shenmue06
@Shenmue06 10 күн бұрын
@Samyouell11510 It doesn't make sense at all. Carrying a 1.0/2.0 only makes sense if you invested in an apex trigger kit and night sights before the plus released. The m&p apex trigger kit is so amazing that I can look past the capacity. Both the 2.0 and plus are basically the same as the 1.0 but it's nice to have the extra capacity and texturing. The shield was an amazing design the moment it released. Smith&Wesson made a perfect micro because they got their first. The size is absolute perfection. Most micro options don't feel nearly as good in the hands and they feel snappy compared to the shield..I carried the p365 for 2 years and it was inferior to my old shield. It would be foolish to choose the regular 2.0 over the plus although I'm still not very impressed with the plus trigger. The plus trigger has a horrible weak reset unfortunately, it doesn't have a front rail or proper front serrations. Personally im waiting for a 3.0 but if I was a newbie I would choose the plus over the other micro platforms.

@@Shenmue06 I’ve never seen a used Shield Plus going for anything less than $400. If you pick up a M2.0 and an Apex trigger you’re still $100ish cheaper than a used Plus
@Shenmue06
@Shenmue06 10 күн бұрын
@garrettlundy3959 $400 isn't even expensive when it comes to protecting your life! Like seriously a shield plus will last you the rest of your life so the $400 is justified! Having that extra capacity can save your life in a bad situation! The shield plus doesn't have a front rail, proper front serrations and the trigger reset sucks but it's a high quality, reliable product that has good capacity. The shield plus is probably the most reliable high capacity micro on the market. It's definitely not worth $600 because of it missing those features but $400 is a fair price. That extra capacity makes it worth choosing over the regular 2.0... Most people can afford one decent ccw. It's not always smart to focus on the price. The cz p10c and p10s are the only cheap options that I can think of that match $600 dollar options. If I was on a budget I would choose the p10c or p10s although they're bigger than micro options. For a micro I wouldn't go any lower than the shield plus because there's no logic to buying a single stack anymore. The shield plus is usually cheaper than other high capacity micros. I definitely wouldn't choose the canik mc9 because it's had reliability issues. The shield plus is the logical choice unless you want a front rail. Focusing on cost can often be a mistake. Is spending a couple hundred extra dollars going to seriously matter when it comes to a tool that you're going to use for the next decade? Most people carry the same ccw for a long time! Most people aren't upgrading every 5 years so they might as well get something modern and future proof. I understand that a lot of people are financially struggling so in their case I understand buying the regular 2.0 but a middle class person is better off buying the plus. Years ago when I was in my 20's I was cheap and didn't want to buy the apex trigger kit for my 1.0 which was a huge mistake. If I would have just purchased the trigger kit from the very beginning, got the frame stippled for a hundred bucks and got a set of night sights I would have had a far superior ccw. I regret not doing that stuff earlier and will never cheap out again because years down the road I ended up upgrading it anyways. Buying the 2.0 over the plus is making the same mistake that I made when I didn't upgrade my 1.0. If a person buys the regular 2.0 over the plus it'll bother them deep down because they didn't get the version that they truly wanted. With the regular 2.0 you basically have to upgrade the trigger, add night sights and possibly install mag guts into the magazine if you want it to be modern. With the optics ready shield plus you don't have to worry about that stuff. If I use my shield for protection I have to worry about the judge having issues with my modified shield. With the optics ready shield plus you can keep it stock and not worry about that stuff. The only reason I didn't buy the shield plus is because I already upgraded my regular shield. If I would have known that the plus was releasing I would have never upgraded it. That's my opinion. I just hope that Smith&Wesson releases a 3.0 that has a trigger closer to the apex, that has proper front serrations and a rail. If they release a shield like that it'll be the first perfect micro on the market. I wish Smith&Wesson would properly upgrade their products instead of doing tiny upgrades but unfortunately they're greedy. I wish walther and CZ would release a proper high capacity micro! Walther and CZ have the ability to make something special but for some odd reason they choose not to do it. I do think that the regular shield 2.0 is better than the glock 43x and is a high quality option but there's better options now. The kimber r7 mako is another great option that has high capacity, a decent trigger, night sights and an optic cut. Personally I would choose between the kimber mako and shield plus.

The 10mm makes perfect sense because it's a great option for the wilderness but choosing the 40sw has never been logical in my opinion. The 40sw is basically a dead caliber for a reason. It's a snappy more expensive round that's barely more effective than modern 9mm ammo. People seriously just need to let the 40sw go and choose the 10mm if they want more power. A great 10mm option for ccw is the 3.8 xdm elite 10mm.

The fact that you said that springfield is releasing a game changer tells me that it's probably a subcompact echelon lol. A 4" compact echelon would be better but you seem to love subcompacts. A 4" compact would be great because it would be the perfect size for a future 10mm!! We already have plenty of subcompact 10mm options. We need a g19 sized 10mm!! The xdm 3.8 10mm was a little too small because just about everyone had to remove the magwell to use it comfortably. You might only need 3 fingers with a 9mm but the 10mm is a complete different story. A full sized 10mm is too big for ccw and a subcompact is too small because of the small grip and reduced velocity. A 4" compact 10mm would be perfect because you could use it for every situation while getting similar velocity as the full size. The 10mm is for bear protection so I want a 4" barrel not a 3.8. It blows my mind that a company hasn't made a proper 4" compact 10mm. Even Smith&Wesson screwed their m&p 10mm up because the 4" has a full size grip instead of the compact 🤦. The sig compact 10mm has a comp/port so it's not ideal either. It's really up to springfield to make a proper 10mm but I'm sure they'll do something stupid like make is subcompact instead of a proper 4" compact 🤦. I want them to release a 4" compact and sell subcompact frames so that everyone is happy! It's easy to change the frame size but you can't change the size of the slide. I honestly don't see the purpose for subcompacts now that micros like the shield plus are available. A g19 sized 4" compact for the city and a micro for safe areas is what makes sense to me. A regular subcompact is so big that you might as well just carry a regular compact. Carrying a full size makes zero sense unless it's for duty which is why it's super annoying that they released a full sized echelon first. CZ is more logical than springfield so they're releasing the new compact p10c before anything else. I have a feeling that the new p10c is going to beat just about everything if they improved the trigger. The regular p10 has a good trigger but it could definitely be better.

@Shenmue06
@Shenmue06 11 күн бұрын
I highly doubt that a new g43x is going to be anything special. They would have to improve the trigger and make a factory 15 round magazine to make it desirable. If they don't improve both the trigger and magazine it's not worth buying in my opinion because of options like the shield plus and kimber mako being on the market. The glock trigger is significantly inferior compared to most micro options which matters to a lot of people. Glock seriously just needs to update their products because it's starting to get ridiculous. The 43x has so much potential but glock chooses to be cheap because they know that people will buy it no matter what. I simple increase in magazine capacity isn't enough. The trigger, texturing and sights need to be improved. Just my opinion.

@jgoody9597 It's going to be a compact echelon. A compact echelon makes sense because it'll allow people to use a compact and full size frame on both the compact and a full size. People will be able to buy the full sized frame for the compact which will allow a person to use a flush comp and thats better better than a port in my opinion. Yesterday people were telling me online that it's going to be a compact echelon. I just hope that it's a 4" barrel and not a 3.8. If it's a 3.8 I'll probably not buy it. I'll be super disappointed if it's a 3.8 instead of a 4" barrel. I hope that springfield realizes that a g19 sized 10mm echelon would be insanely popular. No one has made a proper g19 sized 10mm yet which makes zero sense. A proper compact 10mm echelon would be amazing because it could be used for the wilderness , ccw and duty. I wouldn't carry a compact 10mm on a daily basis but it would be perfect for traveling the country for wilderness and hunting trips. With a full size 10mm you would basically have to bring 2 platforms for traveling because a full size prints too much in my opinion. A subcompact 10mm doesn't allow a 4 finger grip without an extended baseplate which sucks for a powerful round. A 4" would give more velocity over a 3.8. I just hope that springfield makes the logical decision but I have my doubts that they will.

@jgoody9597 I would still avoid the 43x if you're considering picking one up. It's design is outdated due to the magazine capacity, sights, texturing and garbage trigger. I refuse to purchase a newly released glock until they update it to modern standards. It's 2024 so it's ridiculous that you still have to purchase aftermarket parts or send it off for frame texturing to make it modern. The echelon is basically a custom $1,200 dollar glock. In my opinion the echelon is better than a taren tactical glock and it's probably 1/4 of the price. It blows my mind that people pay that type of money for a taren tactical glock. Even a stock canik rival beats a taren tactical glock in my opinion.

Dots came along to help lure younger shooters into guns as young people can’t get interested in anything if it’s not electronic. They got their smart watches, phones, cars, entire homes wired with devices so they just had to put something on a gun as well. Dots are useless in my opinion.

Hi. China isn't a third world country, and it's actually things made in the United States that are know to have poor quality issues. We can start with the automobile industry for one. People source to China because of the cost proposition and the quality. Every single thing you used to make this video was made in China. And countries like Norway have MORE LAX GUN LAWS than the United States, so let's not be willfully ignorant and act like we invented and own the right to firearms.

China is technically a 2nd world country. Yes United States companies try to cut costs around every corner but china is definitely worse. Even Germany is now trying to cut costs when you look at what they did with the walther pdp. The pdp has plastic sights, a cheap guide rod/recoil spring, a plastic optic cover. The m&p is technically higher quality in my opinion although the trigger is inferior.

@@Shenmue06 "Second world country" LOL. Go seek professional therapy. Your kind literally needs to make up a false reality just to cope with the real one. 1/5 people in your shithole of a country is mentally sick, per your own CDC. Again, go seek therapy. And stop pretending to be Asian, you loser red goof. AND STOP MOLESTING CHILDREN.
