Unfortunately the EPA has been getting even stricter than they've been in the past and it's made it extremely difficult for racers let alone track owners. Therefore even just trying to organize an automotive event in certain states can be such a headache and require insane stipulations that most organizers change locations.

The 'spicy unit' may have been invented in a cleetus video, but.... (Legend has it)...... the 'Hamilton Jet unit' was invented by a New Zealand farmer/engineer way back in the 1960s. He needed a better way to get up the shallow braided rivers to check on stock. The traditional outboard needed a certain depth of water to operate in, whereas his inboard 'jet unit' would function fine in much shallower water.

@@corystansbury most of the really good hand built fly rods are all Bamboo. Even today a custom Bamboo fly rod will cost you $2000-$4000 bucks. They just fish better than a fiberglass rod. A vintage Rod from a well known builder can sell for $4000 +. I seen one sell for $8000 from a custom builder in Montana from the 1960’s. So I could see the guy being upset if his $5000 ?? vintage fly rod just got destroyed. Not that it’s Cleetus’s fault. He should of had it in a hard case. That’s the only way I will travel with mine. Even on the boat I keep it in a case unless I’m using it.. My rods are not worth near what some custom rods are.

When I was younger working at my dad's shop up here in Idaho they had built a all aluminum kinsler injected Donovan 540 for the Rogers sprint boat. 840hp another aluminum big inch injected small block also, simalar hp. You should ask them sometime about those engines. To grow up with these engines being built all the time was a real treat for a youngster. We used to have races here on the snake, very fun to watch. Good ol' days.

I love the fact that there's no windshield in this fast boat.But there's a windshield on all the little tiny jet streams. Even though I feel like this high-powered boat needs a windshield more than any of those small jet streams. But they probably don't have a windshield for weight reduction.

I had a 70's 15 foot sidewinder that was rated for 70 hp with a mildly massaged Johnson v4 140 on it. Would plane out in about half a second if you had trim all the way down. But if you trimmed up and played with it you could ride just the prop with the nose 15 ft in the air for as long as you wanted. Ppl love to see that crazy shit. Nothing like a 40 year old lake boat with double the power it was designed for out In the ocean jumping ferry wakes at 65 mph 😄😎
